So many delicious options. Felt like a real Japanese izakaya and the staff are amazing!!
Give this yuzushu a try. Tastes so good it's hard to remember it has alcohol . Skip the soda water and drink it on the rocks.
LOVE their coriander salad ! Very unique and full of flavour! If you love your greens like I do, get the seafood salad as well !
Lively atmosphere and the menu has something for everybody (covering all types of Japanese cuisine - just like an Izakaya should).
Order the chicken karaage . Succulent meat with fluffy batter and sweet chilli sauce . The BEST.
Definitely go for the Ramen dishes, they are great! Servings and prices are very reasonable as well .
A good place to chill n relax while enjoying bits n pieces of Japanese tapas ....
The iPad used for ordering can actually be removed from the holder which might make it easier to order for those not sitting next to the iPad
Dinning at YI is sort of a gimmick, some days they might get the food right, but not on my visit. The place has a good energy and concept but failed to deliver on taste. Read more
Ahh..my home away from home. The cocktails are divine, food is great, staff are friendly , good location.
Everything is great here. Try the Octopus ball ????
Cute place with a nice atmosphere... Teriyaki Chicken was a bit ordinary, but the staff are lovely!
Try the Japanese fried donuts
Average Japanese food but I love the environment! And it offer Japanese wine ;)
Reasonably priced sake , good lunch bento sets.
We usually go here every Wednesday night for yummy food
Doughnut ball with ice cream ???? is amazing
Good, fresh, Japanese food . But over priced for what it is.
Everything was alright on the menu and friendly service :)
Try the sushi and sashimi
This place is a hidden Japanese gem !
The chirashi lunch sets is good
Tasty soju mix drinks .
Know what you want to order and be selective, the beer selection was good however.
I've never had chicken teriyaki quite like it, and I will never order it again.
Bit pricey . But the quality is ok. The pork belly is my favourite!
Kimchi and pork fried rice is the bomb
Cheap cocktails (for Sydney that is)
Expect to break the bank for a nibble and an hour wait for your meal.
Great clams !
Queue is always long, wait staff are painful to deal with.
Pretty good overall, tables were abit small
I ordered 10+ dishes, so far i only like their wagyu n' seaweed salad ... Nonetheless, the price is so not worth it... Wagaya n mizuya r way better...!!
Decor is awesome but food is pretty overpriced. You're better off at Mizuya or Wagaya !
They are very impolite to the customers. And the food is over priced.
Food was so so. Ordered $6.80 green tea mojito and it tasted like mentos dissolved in water. Don't order desserts .
Lunchtime portions are extremely tasty and generous. Best time to go is after the lunch "rush" (after 1:30pm)
Taste is average here, sashimi is not fresh :(
Worst okonomiyaki ever!
Rong rine and you only get 90min to eat + go.
I love their ramen.. N their side dishes r excellent!! - Aldric Tumilar
The After Darkness & Botanists Delight are quite possibly the nicest cocktails I've ever had. - Jacki James
Karaage Don is the best one, specially with sweet chili or mayo on side, awesome - irawan jieverson
omurice and chicken teriyaki are both superb! matcha cheese tart is good too! - Anj Rodriguez
