Delicious! Perfectly seasoned, sweet & spicy , all balanced to perfection. It's the best BBQ in KC! My favs are the pork , ribs & THE BRISKET . Q2GO is awesome.

Ben Kuhn

Call me a q39 hipster but we've been coming since Nam'. Pitmaster brisket sandwich . So far 4/4 of my out of town Wisconsin guests (at different times) said it was the best sandwich they've EVER had.

Chris H.

Maybe I'm an amateur, but more likely I'm well travelled & familiar. I got the Judges plate : Ribs , Sausage , Brisket + xtra Brisket ... the food was some of the best restaurant smoke I have ever had.

Kevin Wilson

Burnt ends are the best. Combo platters are great value there's no bad choices . Service is spot on from top to bottom. Anytime you're in this area Q39 Barbeque is a no-brainer. You must come here.

Beth Dean

This place is phenomenal! Gotta try the competition plate. The brisket is a little underwhelming, but the chicken and ribs more than make up for it. It is pricier than a lot of other bbq places in KC.

Clint Jones

Great addition to KC. For all who are bored with Jack Stack for out of town business lunches Q39 finally has an answer. Inviting space and outstanding BBQ . My rec: Chicken , brisket , sausage .

Nate Dix

Had the 3 meat platter per Josh’s (bartender ) recommendation. Burnt ends , pulled pork and brisket were mouth watering. Great friendly service . Best bbq I’ve had in town !!!!!

Kristen Marie

Best bbq hands down. The burnt ends and the ribs are by far the show shopper. The wings are good. And the lime cilantro bbq sauce is the best they have.

Drew Christien

Get a flight of local beers to wash down some incredible 'que. Whether you're looking for classics or innovation, Q39 has you covered. There's even a veggie burger for non-meat eaters!

Duncan Winn

This might possibly have been the finest BBQ restaurant I've ever eaten at. I had ribs and biscuit , coleslaw and baked beans . We had a couple of really good bloody Mary's too. I would like return.

Russell Hirschorn

Burnt ends is the only thing you should get here. Cucumber and apple salad on the side for balance. Prendergast bourbon from Toms Town hit the spot. Poutine to start was great, had burnt ends ha.

Joseph Porras

If you are solo or just out with that special someone, sitting at the bar can make the difference between eating right away or waiting, but the wait is worth it. Especially the burnt end burger .

Chris Bos

The burnt end burger is incredible! The Mac cheese with bread crumble is amazing. No matter the food or the side, all the flavors mesh fantastically! Great food and awesome atmosphere!!

Theresa O'Leary

Kansas City's new favorite BBQ spot. The chef has won the American Royal and it's the first modern take on KC's classic BBQ . They are ALWAYS busy so make sure you get a reservation .

Erik Rowley

Fantastic BBQ , highly recommend trying the combo plate with ribs and brisket . My 2nd favorite BBQ spot in Kansas City after Joe's!

Luke Mayes

The pulled pork and sausage are both great. Definitely some of the best I've ever had. Also, don't miss the apple slaw .

Kenny Williamson

Absolutely everything I have tried in four visits, all different, have been too notch. My Texan wife even loved it and is still talking about the burnt ends .

Thurgood Coats

Pulled pork and brisket were just amazing. Also loved the potato salad and coleslaw . Great place to catch a game too with tvs all over the place.

Hillari Maples

We got the Judges Platter with brisket , chicken and pulled pork . And a side of ribs . All of it was a good apple wood taste to it, and our server was very friendly .

John K

Great burnt ends ! Just melt in ur mouth! Loved the kick and taste of the Southwest Cole Slaw ! Onion straws are winners too! Good place!

Bri

Ribs , sausage , pulled pork , and the grilled pork belly sandwich were all great. I didn’t care for the potato salad but the fries and apple coleslaw were good.

Drewton

Ribs were my favorite followed by brisket and then pulled pork . But honestly, everything was AMAZING!

Adam K.

As a first timer I recommend you get the brisket with burnt ends and add on a few ribs . The brisket is amazing.

Sofia Case

I reaaaaally don’t understand the burnt ends hype ????????‍♀️ I ordered them because I thought I’d be missing out, but you really won’t. Don’t feel pressured ????

Sam Constance

Known for burnt ends & brisket , but their pulled pork and smoked chicken are also killer. You literally can't go wrong.

Travis Tindell

The burnt ends and brisket were incredible! Every one of the sides blew my mind. Beans and potato salad were amazing

Chris Calderon

Seriously the best barbecue I’ve had yet! I’ll be back for more… A lot more!!! ????

Zach West

We had BBQ all weekend... it wasn’t even close, best burnt ends and ribs we were able to try. Highly recommend!

Abner Aceves

Try the ribs and brisket . To die for! Might be the best BBQ meal I've had in a long time.

Mark J

Awesome BBQ place . Usually you think of hole in the wall , but don't worry, their award winning bbq is authentic as can be. Try burnt ends !

Robby Lowe

I had the Judges plate - with Ribs , Pulled pork and Sausage . Sides - Coleslaw and Fries .

Jennifer R

The brisket plate is the best option because you get the burnt ends as well . Apple slaw is also delicious.

Todd L.

Awesome food and service. Love this place. Will be back next time in KC????

Jeff Borrero Ruiz

Easily one of the best meat dishes I have had in my life! Highly recommend coming in and the place gets full fast but service is fast too!

Barbara Preston

We had the ribs and onion straws yum!! Best bbq we've found so far. Sat at bar Sunday night and watched football . Great gan hang out

Charis Tobias

I had a pulled pork sandwich with classic BBQ sauce and a side of apple slaw . It was perhaps the best BBQ I've ever eaten.

Eric

Real close to Char Bar if you feel like a double-bbq assault is a thing you need to do. Burnt ends are good, but not as good as Char Bar 's. Fanciest BBQ joint in town .

Steve Calia

I’m impressed. Cherry popped. Wish I had control of the dimmer switch though. Way too bright for dinner . Food, drink, server=I’m coming back.

Mohammed Alsalim

Best wings in the planet was good as the previous times. However, the brisket was cold and we had them to change it and it took time????????.

Sally Huggins

Food is excellent. Brisket especially. Service was exceptional. Recommend a reservation . Allow time for parking as it is limited in their lot.

Gregg Barr

The brisket platter with burnt ends is the gold standard for KC BBQ . Order it and you cannot go wrong.

mark

Pulled pork with sauce on the side has them give you the pit drippings. Sooo tasty. Cheesecake was surprisingly good too.

Bianca A

For those of us who aren't meat fanatics, the salmon salad was delicious and still filling!

Luke Mayes

The Triple Threat is amazing! Also, the smoked old fashioned and the macaroni and cheese are really good.

moth

Awesome BBQ ! Tender and flavorful. Up there with the best in KCMO.

Natalie

Who runs out of main menu items at 7 on a weekend? Have they never experienced a weekend rush before? The small piece of brisket I tried was delicious. But they didn't have enough to make a meal.

Sam Proctor

Great brisket and burnt ends . Great service. Highly recommended.

lauren wells

Brisket is fantastic. Try the Pitmaster sandwich (sub pulled pork based on what you're in the mood for).

Michael C

A few years ago we made the BBQ pilgrimage to Lockhart, TX. The brisket and sausage ruined me for what was available in KC. Q39 has brought some brisket and sausage redemption to KC.

Terry Rafael

The beef , any type of the beef was tender, and flavorful. No regrets!!!????
