The New Jersey is unique among all the Iowa class (I've toured all four). Their tours are first rate, get the turret 2 experience you won't regret it.

You may think, "Let me use the Head for the complete experience." Trust me: don't! Use restroom in visitor center. You will be much happier.

Well organized self-tour. Look for Admiral Halsey's chair on the flag bridge , and the five stars placed in the floor in tribute to him!

Built at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard & launched in 1942 just a year after the attack on Pearl Harbor, bringing the US into WWII. It was the 2nd ship the Navy named in honor of New Jersey

I heard they added more to the tour but for the history freak in all of us, this is one of the coolest places to go.

Awesome adventure, guided tour was after dinner and ran late for younger kids. The sleeping quarters were very tight, food was REAL bad

Beware of a crazy rude tour guide named Joe. He will yell at you if you happen to know more than he does. Lol
