Established in 1907 to connect citizens and farmers, the Market continues its “Meet the Producer” tradition with a year-round farmers market, crafts, owner-operated bakeries, fish markets, butcher shops, produce stands and specialty food stores.

Pike Place Market is home to the first Starbucks , Rachel the Pig , numerous street performers and entertainers, and the Pike Place Fish Market , which features the fish-throwing fishmongers .
This is a must if you are visiting Seattle! Omg, all the food! And small nice shops, you can walk around for hours! Fish Market , flowers , the first starbucks and much much more.. Love it here
Fish throwing happens various times throughout the day! Volunteer or cheer them on! Expensive but, high quality Pike, Lobster Tail , various fish , white fish , etc. Daily Dozen Doughnut C🍩 is a must🐟 !
Come early in the morning to beat the crowd and enjoy the beautiful sight of flower vendors setting up. Come again later in the day to see all the shops set up and time to grab some snacks and lunch .
Loved Pike's and it's not just about one stall throwing fish . A couple of city blocks and multiple levels a must visit. Fresh cherries and everything else, Starbucks 1 and lots of quirky shops!
My favorite destination in Seattle! Fresh seafood , gourmet meals, artisan bake shops, cheese , chowder , handicrafts & more! I can spend days exploring this placel
There's so much to eat, it's so hard to decide what to buy! Fun fact: the fish thrown in the market is the same one thrown around all day because catching fish by hand actually causes it to bruise.
Impressed with the selection of fresh meats and produce at great prices. The flower bouquets are surprisingly inexpensive . I recommend having Hungarian sausage and draft beer at Uli's Famous Sausage .
Had a really great time at the market , there was fresh cider , roasted corn , apples , this amazing Filipino market stand in there, but don't just take pictures of the fish monger and not buy anything :(
Love Pike Place Market. I can come here everyday and still enjoy it. Make sure to try the greek yoghurt , piroshky, original starbucks and a lot more!
So much to see and do!! The first Starbucks is here. You can find the best bouquets and the price is reasonable. The German store brought back memories. The gum walls . So much more!!!
The quintessential stop in Seattle for culture, diversity, festivity , and delicious food! Are you a local like me? Enjoy being a regular with local farmers and mongers.
Awesome fish markets and craft vendors throughout. Make sure you have time to wander around as there are a lot of vendors and nook and crannys to explore.
A beautiful throwback type of market , in many ways it’s nicer than the one at the Ferry Building in SF. Great food choices, this place is a great way to spend a cloudy ☁️ morning in Seattle
Great place to sightsee! The shrimp and lobster tails are very large. Pike Place reminds me of San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf.
A Seattle institution! The market is always bustling and full of great fresh seafood and produce, as well as artisan goods. Get your fresh flowers here- beautiful bouquets for as little as $5!
So many things to do and see! Flower bouquets for $5, $10, and $15! The Gum Wall is nearby, and so is the original Starbucks ! It does get very crowded .
One of Seattle’s most iconic attractions and it’s filled with tasty treats. Aisles of gleaming fruits and vegetables , tables overflowing with fresh floral bouquets , clothing and gifts ..
The market has a little bit of everything... fresh seafood & flowers , fresh fruits & vegetables , jewelry , books , restaurants & great views of the waterfront !
My #1 recommended tourist attraction . There's just so much to see here, and even as a local, I feel like I discover something new each time. Also, flower bouquets are a steal here!
A Seattle staple. Avoid it on weekends if you can, for it can get pretty crowded . Walk through all the flower vendors to find your favorite. Must get donut holes here!
Can't say enough good things about the market . Prices are a bit high, but you won't find fresher seafood anywhere. Check some of the lesser known seafood restaurants for no waiting
Great place for local handmade goods and foods! Right by the water. Will take a few hours to explore!
Pike Place Market has been the heartbeat of Downtown Seattle since the city 's inception. Take in the varying cultures and traditions of the city at the market . A long line indicates a hot spot!
If you're coming to Seattle, you must go here. It's the home of the first Starbucks . We took a food tour and even got to throw a fish ! Favorite places to eat here were Cinnamon Works and Beecher's!
The main level of the Market has many must-see tourist attractions , but if you're looking for a more unique experience, head down to Western Avenue for some amazing local handmade art , gifts and food!
super cool place to make occasional trips to for specialty items but most of the fresh foods are pretty overpriced, especially the big seafood stall right by the entrance. Love everything about it
Tons to do/eat! Fresh fish , spicy garlic jam , chicken gizzards , coffee from the first Starbucks , mac'n'cheese from Bleecher's, best Chowder ever, Uli's sausage , or Confectional 's cheesecake , or ...
Seattle's original farmers market . Home to hundreds of vendors, cultures and traditions. Take a picture in front of the iconic sign, watch fish being thrown and dive into tasty food and drink options.
Love public markets ! The flowers here are beautiful and tons of food options around. Too bad I don't live here; can't buy the produce and seafood , which all look delicious!
Some of my faves include Sosio's produce, Los Agaves Mexican Street Food , Uli's Sausage , the chowder sampler at Pike Place Chowder and of course, fresh market flowers !
Eclectic mix of locals and tourists . Great eats (try Matt's across the street from the neon sign and clock) and a fun place to putz around
Great place to get seafood , and food in general, it can be a bit on the pricey side. Good experience! Definitely worth checking out if you're just visiting.
Fantastic venue for shopping, drinking, socializing or just people watching . And restaurant where scenes from "When Harry Met Sally" where shot, it has great beer and views of the water inlet.
A must see destination in Seattle. Watch fish get tossed at the World Famous Pike's Place Fish Market , see the original Starbucks (actually in its 2nd location), & go down some stairs to the Gum Wall .
Get the mini-soft, fluffy, warm, sweet-fresh made doughnuts just inside after the news paper stand <3 cinnamon , powdered sugar , plain, etc. Made to order hot fresh, in front of you, doughnuts<3 love
Simply amazing! Fresh produce , seafood , cheese and wine shops . You can easily spend an entire day here without noticing the time. Munch munch munch 🤗👍🏻😋
Great place to walk around. Several levels. Indoor, outdoor. Flowers , fish . A little of everything for everyone
You'd be hard-pressed to find a better deal than the mostly Hmong flower sellers whose stalls fill the main aisle of the market . Huge, dazzling bouquets are shockingly affordable . Read more
Very touristy , very fun, just like the tour pamphlet. Good restaurants , walk to waterfront . A must see Seattle classic.
I could live in this place. The flowers are amazing prices ! If you're just visiting I would still grab some for your hotel room. So worth it
Great cheap flowers . Must eat: piroshky, watermelon juice , sesame red bean balls, mini doughnuts . Avoid the fish throwing and check the modernist cuisine lab downstairs
…You haven’t really been until you get lost inside. Best to go hungry and have lunch on the east side of Pike Place. To establish yourself as a tourist , call it “Pike’s Place”.
Incredible selection of purveyors, but overall crowded and extremely touristy . I would love to go back when I am actually looking to buy food. I can pass on the touristy nicknacks.
Perfect place to walk around, shop, eat, and see what Seattle has to offer!
Go early to beat the crowds of tourists . It's truly a great place to find produce and fish . Get some fresh cracked crab for dinner ! Just ask th email fishmonger to crack and clean 'em!
Worth the visit. Checkout the seafood vendors, flower shops , and gum wall . This place is a cool way to spend a morning. Go early before lunch for smaller crowds.
There's more to this place than just the thrown fish and the first Starbucks . Buy some food to go (dried fruits , cookies , fresh bread ), walk to the park for a photo, stop at Beechers for Mac & Cheese .
One of the oldest farmers markets in the United States ! It's always worth a walk-through in good weather.
According to Olof Hellman in the context of guiding tours for blind folks, it's important here to "taste the coffee and the piroshky and the crumpets and the nectarines and the chowder ."
Fun. Fishmongers are entertaining. Lots of free samples - crab, produce, pasta, Chukar Cherry candies. Don't forget Post Alley too. - Karen Peters
Can't go wrong with anything here! Get the beef and cheese, and try a new dessert. - Alaa Shaker
Local grocery retailer specializing in high-end product items also offers local produce, organics, Northwest wines, and a great deli and cheese bar. Check out kitchen items, gifts, and fresh seafood. - Eric Tigre
Great selection of food, cheese, wine and a cute gift shop up top. Fresh and seasonal selections. I'd highly suggest this place. - Tianna Johnson
