The Wharf, in the heart of canal basin in Castlefield, Manchester, is a large warehouse-style building, but there are innumerable nooks and crannies so you can find cosy, intimate rooms and alcoves, or more buzzy, dynamic areas if you prefer.

Location makes this bar . A really great place to be on a pleasant hot day. Nice relaxed crowd too, with no music or TV blaring out, no wonder we stayed for more than the one beer . Very relaxing! Read more
Cozy pub in Castlefield. Good selection of real ales and all the usual draught lagers and ciders . Decent bar snacks menu . Has an upstairs restaurant , outside terrace overlooking the canal and parking .
No vegan options on the menu, but they prepared a dairy-free version of the mushroom risotto - very tasty. If you’re veggie , the mushroom , spinach and ricotta Wellington Sunday roast looks amazing.
Simple bar type design, live music , which created a lot of noise, but fit well together ! restaurant type food- delicious!????
Country pub in the city . Love it when I want a break from stereotypical city style bars . Good food great ale and an all round lovely looking pub . Dogs welcome .
Lovely terrace by the canal for a sunny day. Good selection of ales and food (we tried burger and pork belly ). Great staff !
Really nice pub , especially nice in the summer when it's time warm enough to sit outside. Can get pretty busy though, especially on Sunday's.
Outdoor bbq is brilliant - lamb kofte is very tasty even if the portion is a bit small!
Nice food and a really nice interior. Good sized beer garden too. Drink selection is also really good!
Sticky toffee pudding is possibly one of the best in town . Linguine with the sea food are definitely to avoid.
Very delicious food, cosy interior makes you feel you are at home.Excellent service .Big like!
well . lovely view , atmosphere and everything. Inside the pub smells like proper British pub (beer+sweat)
Nice view to the canal and a great local pub
Everything!!!Cider , beer or food, whatever you choose will be right sure.
Great food but we were waiting almost 45 minutes for only a burger and a sandwich !
the place is very cozy , close to the canals , very nice to enjoy your meal.
Great food, must try the soups !super friendly staff and great atmosphere
Great dog friendly place , vegetarian platter is amazing and they'll make it vegan friendly too :)
Few better places for ale in the summertime in Manchester. Gets very busy but that's inevitable.
Lovely table by the window. Everything was. Very tasty.
Much better than Dukes . Excellent selection of cask ale . Always well kept.
Watch out for the king prawn and chorizo salad . The menu doesn't mention, but it's super spicy !
The best dog friendly pub in Manchester.
Great outdoor area and interesting beers
Nice location but VERY limited choice of draft beers (unless you like cask beers otherwise no crafty stuff in kegs ). Very slow service and can be pricey
An ideal place for hot summer evenings.
Pretty pricey for Manchester... £3.80 for a pint of (very nice) ale
Great food, great location but service was quite slow.
Burgers are really delicious
Good food, nice atmosphere
I really enjoy with their food.
Our waiter Alan was outstanding. And hilarious.
Better and cheaper than Dukes , less pretentious crowd too!
Great choice of ales
Really good food. Soo much better than Dukes .
Platters are a top treat, settle in and enjoy.
The veggie platter is delicious.
Nice place. Super slow service though.
Normally very good but tonight service and food was woefully below par. Disappointed and tempted not to return. Our booked table was moved without warning, difficult to get served and orders wrong.
Good ale and food
Top terrace
Nice place, but the service is Really bad, the bartenders think they are making favors!!!
Nice place and staff but the food we had was just OK, expensive for what it was. Would go back for a drink though.
Lovely bar but the food is just average.
Really nice food. VERY slow service.
Не берите бургер - сухая дубовая котлета , соуса внутри нет
The pickled mackerel is superb and the roast beef dinner brilliant. Don't be fooled by the address its actually on the Manchester side of Wilbraham Road. Certainly worth the tram fare. - Derek Perrin
Moroccan lamb burger with sweet potato chips was very tasty :) nom nom nom - Amanda Cruxton
The best bar/restaurant in T3... good real ales and excellent breakfast options..a little expensive but good value for airport prices and a great relaxing start for holiday - Tony Kingfisher
Friendly staff. Very good food, we had the Buffalo Mozzarella Pizza and the Goat Cheese Salad. Free water. - Yannis Morasch
Great quality home made pub grub at a very reasonable price. Also, Oz has special food nights on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Book early as they sell out quickly. - Rick Ogden
Or try a relaxing cruise down the canal, maybe to castlefield stopping off for a hearty meal. - Visit Manchester
