Doumar's Cones & Barbecue

Cheeseburger was simple fair . For $2.90, hard to beat. Better than a McD's for sure. Ice cream was great. Taste like handmade homestyle .

Just come here for the milkshakes and ice cream cones . Burgers and hotdogs are not 'all that'. I will say that the pulled pork sandwich looks pretty good but I haven't tried it yet.

A must stop for the best barbecue in Hampton roads - it has been on the show Triple D- and they are the first cone makers! Best prices and drive up service or inside seating!

If you are into dinners this is a must go type of place! The BBQ is out of this world and the ice cream !

A throwback drive in where the prices are still from a decade or two ago. Good cheap food and great ice cream .

I have to eat here every time I'm back in Norfolk. Their Limeades and cherry coke (made with cherry juice ) are the best. I love the entire menu here!

The only vegetarian meal options are grilled cheese sandwiches and egg salad sandwiches . Also, there is no turkey nor chicken on the menu.

Minced BBQ sandwich is just like NC BBQ ! Nice to have closer to home, now. Get it with hot sauce ! And of course slaw and chili !

I recommend trying EVERYTHING! The place is probably the best Food joint in Hampton Roads !!

Try the "Ringo " sundae . Vanilla ice cream , hot fudge over crushed homemade cone chips .

Pork roll sandwiches and chocolate shakes are the way to go.

Highly recommend the limeade and BBQ . Bring the kids and share a little piece of Norfolk history.

I don’t usually like lime flavored things but the lime-ade was phenomenal

Doumar's rocks! Order 2 w/slaw, side of fries , limeade with plain water and you got lunch . Oh and don't forget the Reggie (not on the menu )

The Cole slaw wasn't great. But the steak sandwich with bacon was delicious!

It's not simply a BBQ/Ice Cream joint: It's an institution. Get the chopped pork sandwich and a shake . You won't regret it.

They have pork roll sandwiches which are awesome.

Needs more sauce but pretty good. Ask for triple the amount of the BBQ sauce .

I am all for tradition, but don't expect the BBQ pork to be anything special. It's served dry, really dry, with a sprinkling of slaw . Skip the food; go for dessert .

Ask for two flavors of milkshake , one on top of the other.

Don't see what the hype is about. Food was mediocre. Service was kind of slow. Might try it again but won't go out of my way to come back
