Probably the strongest espresso in Charlottesville. You'll see SJ beans a lot around town in coffee shops , grocery stores , etc. Keep an eye out - some local restaurants even have custom blends!

Calm and relaxed atmosphere , wonderful staff , and AMAZING coffee !!! I usually get a Mocha +shot but all of the other drinks I have sampled have been up to that same level of excellence

Not sure what's so great about their coffee-I like the fact that their large sizes are 4 shots and are strong coffee but other than that, there's no fragrance nor tastiness. Not enough seating as well

Place looks great after the remodel, but the use of space isn't very smart and it's often hard to find seating. There are also almost no outlets, which makes it hard to work here.

Love this place. The coffee is excellent and the espresso is better. Apparently the owner is a jerk, though I haven't seen any evidence of that.

A big open space with nice view of the roastery. Great to drink your coffee knowing (and seeing!) it was roasted right where you are sitting! Have a dry cappuccino -- you won't regret it.

If you can get an iced cup-at-a-time of their Ethiopia, you won't need to add any sugar to it at all. Trust me. But only try this is you like an intense (natural) blueberry flavor.

Very busy location - some folks seem to stay all day. Delicious coffee and great atmosphere. Close to UVA & Downtown.

I love their coffee so much, but parking on Preston is a nightmare. I tried three times and had to give up.

The Brazil Primavera is delicious! Be sure to grab a bag.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff . Their chai lattes are on point.

Now the only parking available 10am-6pm is on the side of the lot facing 10th street! The side facing Preston is for the SPCA and they will tow!

The preston location is closed on Sunday for store maintenance BUT there are two other locations open, one on ivy road and the other on the downtown mall in the arena.

Very good coffee ! Cool and relaxing vibe as well . If you're looking to sink in to a good read or even just avoid the weekend morning rush to Sbucks...this is a great spot to do that :)

The only place in Charlottsville that I know of with latte art . Don't forget to bring your laptop for free wireless.

Stick with El Salvador, Bolivia and Mexico. Berry scones are better than the nut scones . I WILL CONQUER THIS PLACE!

Ethiopian coffee is my favorite. The barriers put a pine bough on my drink.

Old world espresso ! Is the best dark roast IMHO

The place is cool, the coffee is better than Starbucks', but they need to expand their seating space. Scones are good
