It's worth navigating the Sixth St. circus for this divine bistro . Best as a late-night haven or at happy hour , when the half-price bar menu gets you steak frites & a killer martini for under $20. Read more
Shawn Cirkiel's first restaurant has made its mark as a dining oasis on Dirty Sixth . They're an especially good bet for seafood , and the rooftop seating is lovely in good weather. [Eater 38 Member]
Upscale American dining is a great description which equates to quality over quantity in this case. Amazing food, but portions are small. For dessert , pear cake and donuts are a win.
Creative & amazing cocktails . Tater tots as a starter is delicious! Make sure you try acorn squash as a side. Yummy! They change their menu every season- so we like to get a bunch of plates to share.
Their mac and cheese is a brilliant combo of Gruyère and cheddar baked in a skillet pan is our version of heaven. Read more
Start off the meal with the fried green tomatoes , which are crisp and firm, and the Texas onion rings , crunchy and sweet. But make sure to order the all-you-can-eat family-style BBQ dinner . Read more
One of the best happy hours in Austin. Insanely good burger and fries , great cocktails and cool atmosphere right in the epicenter of dirty sixth . Also, it's every day of the week.
Nom. Some of the best presentation in Austin especially the desserts . Homey new american food and tasty cocktails . Oysters for those who care. Definitely worth visiting.
Happy hour on point here. Inexpensive strong cocktails and great oysters and snacks . Calamari , fried okra , pretzel bites ! I will definitely be back.
An amazing culinary experience. I highly recommend ceviche . Make sure to save room for dessert — it’s worth it!
We love sitting at the bar..great food, great staff . Excellent oysters and ceviche . Buy the bar staff a round when the raw bar staff (Cory) wins an oyster shucking challenge from visiting celeb chefs .
Would come back here for apps & dessert only. Was not impressed with the lamb . Steak tartare & bass were unlike anything I've ever had. A must try! Banana bread dessert was excellent!
While I am sure the entrees are great their small plates are spectacular. I thoroughly enjoyed my roasted cauliflower with citrus glaze and spicy chicken meatballs . Makes for a great bar meal.
Everything we ordered was divine and extremely amazing! Wow this chef is extremely creative and the food here is free range and healthy!! I recommend the Hen or the Rabbit ! Both orgasmic.
The food was great - the calamari was great - especially salty and tasty. The NY strip was perfect and finished with cinnamon doughnuts dessert . Recommend highly!!
Katelyn is one of the best servers ever! Knowledgeable about the menu, fun and peppy, and just awesome!
Absolutely amazing food! Visited last night and I am blown away with the excellent customer service and tasty entree!
Such a surprise for Austin! It's in a crappy neighborhood but you forget all about that once you go inside. They have some of the most unique and interesting drinks EVER!
There's lots of delicious drinks at Parkside but its really the couture food and atmosphere that bring this place to life. Oyster platter is half off during happy hour , and the fries are delicious!
Brussel spouts are amazing... Tempura Quail was okay.. Best kale salad I've ever had. Great drinks
Great happy hour spot with cocktails and bar menu half-off. The space is clean and beautiful and the service is friendly .
Try the Fried Okra - i friggin love that they have this on their menu...okra might be one of my favorite veg to fry...next to pickles and maybe potatoes
Oysters are the bomb-diggity!! And Wednesday they are half off!
Delicious restaurant right on 6th Street . You can't go wrong with any of the oyster dishes.
Don't miss the fried okra . It's cut on bias for more fried goodness. Also, loved the spring pea ravioli . Ask your server what's in season & local. (& the Driskell bartender rec'd the oysters here.)
The duck is so delicious and well cooked! spaghetti quash is also delicious. Definitely recommend going here!
Wednesday specials: half off oysters , half off champagne . Menu changes daily. Great quality spot to eat on 6th street that isn't bar food.
Skip the cocktails and go straight for the food. Sweetbreads with tongue , butter leaf lettuce salad with bacon , classic steak tartare , the ceviches , and the oysters are all excellent.
What a gem right on 6th! The bacon-wrapped salmon was to die for! Hot waiters and bar staff . Excellent cocktails !
If you're stuck at/around the Convention Center , this is going to be your best close option for dinner . Great selection of oysters , terrific steak , and usually one or two more adventurous options.
Try the Pork Croquettes - wish yall coulda seen the insides of these...straight up filled with pulled pork and nothing else...and the strawberry jam was a nice touch
My god, the oysters . Only worth it during happy hour , but the selection is great. Calamari and chicken sliders were amazing too. Come between 5 and 7 for happy hour !
What a great spot. The lamb pastrami is amazing. Steak is tasty, properly cooked and tender. Definitely coming back here.
It's no secret but Parkside has the best happy hour in town . Cocktail specials all night Monday, bubbly + oysters on Wednesdays. Get fried okra .
First time having sweetbreads and marrow and it was an amazing surprise. Loved it!
The food its just amazing. Fantastic ambiance. A lil bit expensive . They should have an spanish menu, music should be better.
Bass, avocado + oysters . V good. Keen to try the rest of the menu - great reviews all round the table.
Steven Kak and Shaquille are both amazing Chefs . Try the Siberian Donkey cocktail and the Koren or Toyko drink. Both exquisite! Wow!!
Stop by this 6th street institution on Wednesdays for 1/2 price Oysters and Champagne . Great atmosphere for friends or an intimate dinner .
Try some local craft beers or have a private roof top party
Wednesday is 1/2 price oyster and champagne night!! My favorites I've tried so far are the Cameron Shoal, Caraquette, Mill Point, and Blue Point . For dessert , try their basil ice cream !!
The goat cheese custard is the most amazing desert ever. Sweet, salty, unique, crunchy, smooth. Must get.
The sea bass is amazing. So fresh with a light citrus vinaigrette and rich avocado . Perfect for a hot summer evening. The mac & cheese is most excellent as well .
The upstairs patio was gorgeous, our dinner was sublime, and the service rocked! I loved it!
Wednesday's oyster platter + half off champagne = great way to start the night. Those blue pt oysters are divine.
Make sure you order ceviche , beef oyster , tounge, and ask for more bread !!!!! How come I never visited this place? Waiting for my entree, hope they're as good as the appetizers ! :)
Though pricey , this is a great place to have a nice time out that still feels casual . Good first impression.
The lamb chops are really good! Get the roasted wild mushrooms if they have them.
Holy crap this restaurant is good. Sweetbreads & marrow were Amazing. Okra was killer. Ceviche , butternut squash , lamb all great.
Steak tartare ; a cocktail w peppar, ginger beer and lime , and some basil ice cream for dessert made for one of the better meals in Austin yet.
