An absolute gem of a museum . Hidden away is an impressive little display of specimens of both humans and animals alike. Will make for interesting sketches and is educational too!
Brilliant museum for testing your limits. If the jars full of dissected animals and body parts don't faze you, make sure to check out the selection of close-up surgery videos on the 2nd floor.
Freakin' awesome museum . Very interesting, especially pathological processes through each organ and different animals. Nice history on surgery and surgeons of Britain.
the actual brain of charles babbage , partially dissected animals , fetuses and other freaky things in jars. fun for the whole family!
Basically, it is SO gross, but SO cool. I couldn't stop exploring. I would love to go back and bring my sketch book next time. Very interesting.
Been meaning to go here for along time. Very interesting, but not for every one. You should have an idea of what to expect before going, or run screaming from the specimen jars!
Rather quiet and peaceful (as far as you can call a place full of skeletons and pickled guts "peaceful "). A true gem for the curious ones.
Love it here!! A real eye opener of how medical procedures have advanced over the years and how amazing the origins of them are. Makes you really appreciate the fantastic work of Surgeons.
The skeleton of a giant, Winston Churchill’s dentures and diseased human remains in jars are among the bizarre exhibits at the Hunterian Museum, which is certainly one of London’s strangest. Read more

Since when has this place been so crowded ? We used to be the only visitors.
Only for the brave ones. Scarier than London dungeon.
Medical curiosities galore.

A gem of a museum. Sign up for the tour of the private residences. Only a few people can go every hour or so. It’s a wonderful way to learn more about Soane and see his family’s quarters. - Angela
Amazing place and it’s a must if you visit London! You can spend hours & hours inside so plan well if you are time poor. Worth to hire the audio as it can be really crowded to get too close. - Maria
