The Battery is a scenic lookout Charlestowne Charleston located in United States.
East Battery (Murray Blvd) Charleston , SC 29401 United States
Come for a sunrise or sunset for a beautiful view and to get out of the busy, chaotic town . A great spot for picnics , picture-taking, jogging, or simply relaxing.
Love this place early in the morning, beautiful sunrise, seagulls, ships in the distance, very peaceful , friendly folks , random walkers and runners. Stay long enough you may see a dolphin or two.
Walk down East Bay St to Rainbow Row and the Pier . Great views and historic sites . Come back in time for the sunset !
It’s changed so much and not in a good way. The protests every weekend in the park and the unsafe atmosphere keep us away.
Always an interesting place to take a walk. The tide dictates if you’ll see the riprap rocks along the base of the wall and the historic significance is fascinating.
Our Gray Line bus tour stopped at the Battery. Interesting history, beautiful scenery , a nice place to take a stroll.
Historic downtown Charleston. See cannons, monuments , & a sunset on the harbor . Great for the family as a walk, picnic , history lesson, etc. Also note the homes adjacent to the field .
Don’t just stare up at the gorgeous façades: The 1825 gem Edmondston-Alston House (21 E Battery) is open for tours . – Green Guide Editor
The view is gorgeous at all hours. Incredibly romantic spot . 1-2hr. parking , but careful: there's a circulating traffic cop that seems to keep close watch.
Tourists are asked NOT to urinate and/or defecate in resident’s yards. This is a serious problem and Charlestonians are sick of the disgusting tourists using their yards as a public toilet .
Wonderful place for an evening walk! Nice views ! My kids enjoyed running all over this one :)
Excellent views of the harbor and Fort Sumter in the distance. Free parking along the road .
My favorite place in Charleston. Beautiful historic mansions! Gorgeous views of Charleston Harbor and Fort Sumpter !

A scenic 15-minute walk down King Street from the Fulton Lane Inn & Kings Courtyard Inn . Just beautiful. Consider this a "don't/can't miss."
Nice scenic area. Not the most impressive place in the world, but a fun trip. Parking is free but there's never any after 10 am.

The walk from Cheney Park (next to the Coast Guard Station at Tradd St. and Murray Blvd.) to the end of the High Battery is 1.2 miles.
Must see in Charleston!
Used to be a great place to visit until the sickening tourists ruined it. Overcrowded and a hot mess.
