My favorites: Dave's tempeh , Baba 's dolmas , Tenerelli's peaches , the gorgeous lettuces immediately next to it, the mushrooms across, and the 3 for $5 avocados (so rich they remind me of egg yolks )
Be sure to stock up on goods from the guys selling delicious, farm fresh flavored yogurts and hummus . Ask to try anything, they'll be happy to give you generous samples.
We were staying at a hotel right behind the Farmer's Market , so on Saturday, we decided to check it out. The variety of vendors here is amazing, and there is no charge for admittance.
I’ve been here twice, and I must say that I love this farmer's market ! They got what I really need from fresh fruits to vegetables and seafood as well . The meats were fresh.
Great little neighborhood Farmers' Market that's nearby and nearly perfect. Arnett Farms DOES NOT sell Fuji apples @ Mar Vista Farmers' Market . That's a shame.
The crepes are worth the long line (especially if you're getting a Nutella crepe ). While you wait definitely get a fresh squeezed orange juice or a mint lemonade - refreshing and yummy!!!
One of my fav farmers market for the variety. Produce on one venue, food stuffs on the other, and knick knacks on the other other.
On the 2nd Sunday of each month you can bring your backyard produce to Food Forward's donation booth . They give it to those in need!
The baby back ribs were amazing and you can buy great delicious meat and different foods from this place.
Tacos Punta Cabras was there today! I like to buy packs of their tortillas to bring home to make my own tacos , chilaquiles , or tortilla soup .
Best farmers market and incredible prepared food. Don’t miss the dumplings .
Fave: pineapple Agua fresca , spam musubi , fresh bread
If you need a reusable bag, find the green bin. Take a bag if you need one, and leave a bag next time you're in the area to return the favor! Its great!
Love the variety! Great coffee , danishes , and vegetables
You have to get the Kitchen Sink dip from the Baba Guy. Best dip ever.
Seriously, try the Dairy Goddess chocolate milk ! It's near the front. I usually get sick off of milk but not theirs because of the homogenizing process they have.
Go find the booth selling the dried beet chips . $5 bag is my fave thing to get there.
Bowers sausage is great!! ????????????
I'm a big fan of Larry's tacos . Homemade tortillas and carne asada and pollo grilled fresh.
Refyll soaps, lotions and laundry detergent! The deodorant is excellent.
Walk, scoot or bike over here and don't even try parking at the Post Office.
Pluots galore in the summer months !
Must try the Beet chips !
Bring cash, vendors will appreciate small bills and exact change
The Emanadas and Crepes are the best stands for breakfast/lunch.
I never seen so many vegan food vendors ! Wonderful!
Parking is easier on the backside of the market .
The middle veg stand has the best value.
Fabulous events ! Mar Vista Farmers Market is one of our partners for LosAngelesCostumeswap.com
Get coffee at Venice Grind stand. The server is the best, and she will make your day! The crepe stand is also a must!
Dave's Korean BBQ has amazing tempeh
Check out Arnett farms . Best Asian pears !
Good variety of fruits and veggies . I recommend buying kale from here. The ginger here is cheap too.
Soy Chorizo breakfast burrito at Nana's Chips & Salsa !
Check out the Oyster bar !
Come here stoned. Your taste buds will thank you.
So much food.
Veggie omelette from Café Laurent isn't to be missed ($7).
Salmon Waffle for $8. Not for me.
Not as many fruits and veggies as other farmers markets . Mostly junk food stands .
How can you say the food isn't great when you have several options? Empanadas . All day.
Grandms's French Toast at Cafe Laurent : C'est Formidable!
Dray's BBQ . The best. Need I say more?
LOVE this place. Friendly workers. High quality. Low prices. Thanks, Sprouts! - Chris Woolsey
This one of the best farmers markets. They have meat, seafood, fruits, nuts, vegetables including some Asian vegetables. They also have nice plants. Some vendors take cards. - Justin Ordoveza
A nice and chill farmers market with a great selection. Not much cooked food if that's your thing but I'm good without. - Josef Szotten
The best sushi for the price. Also a really great ramen and tempura place inside - Robert Crawford REALTOR
Tons of ways to enjoy the atmosphere. Nice beach, good surf, nice piers. Tons of shops, food, activities, rentals, and more. - Jason Shellhammer
Not in Santa Monica, but near enough to include on a Santa Monica list. Surprising vegan-friendly. Great prices on nuts, produce, non-dairy milks, snacks, paper goods, rice, beans, cereal, and more. - Michele Christensen
