Great place to spot herons - they arrive during January, do a spot of nest-hunting and building. RSPB here at weekends when birds are nesting (until 24 Apr this year) with spotting-scopes.
Beautiful park for a picnic . Has clusters of Roman ruins and a lovely backdrop of the cathedral .
Went here for the first time today! Took my little girl to feed the ducks :) she loved it! It's gorgeous and so much space we will Deffinatly be back as we missed half of it :) x
Beware the path and cycle path from king harry lane. Cyclists go very fast & often don't keep to the cycle side. Additionally wheelchair access is difficult due to the speed humps.
Lovely park with a lake and views of the abbey. Popular with families but in no way crowded even on a Sunday afternoon in August
Lovely park , plenty of open spaces , lovely lake , wildlife and a spectacular view of St Albans cathedral
Fantastic park . Splash pool for the kids and shade or sun for the adults. Lovely cafe , although soft drinks quite expensive .
