Get there nice and early to avoid a long wait . Love all the waffles but my favourite is the Hummus and avocado . You can walk around the lake to try burn off the carbs. Very popular with families.

Huge queue especially on weekends but it 100pc worths waiting for. Best Belgium waffle in town . Try banoffee with ice cream . Don't just underestimate yourself by the huge portions . You CAN eat it.

Best choice in St. Albans. Share all dishes with friends to try as much stuff as possible. Meatballs waffle is (ohh) and try any with chocolate . Will not regret it for definite! Not expensive at all.

Have eaten here twice - waffles here are very tasty and the portions are generous. Very popular place as there was a queue for a table.

Tried a savoury waffle today and it was as delicious as I'd hoped. The goulash soup on the specials board was very tasty!

Worth trying out once. If you're tossing up between sweet or savoury, I'd go the sweet. The chili con carne overpowers the waffle .

Fantastic place, good quality, great atmosphere. Usually there's a queue but doesn't take too long to find a spot.

Just fantastic. Waffles are good. But who cares? The souroundings are so beautiful that you even forget you're hungry.

Great waffles and fantastic for family's, I've been going since I was a child, although now less authentic . It's still delicious!!!!

Banana and Butterscotch with flapjack - must have. Two tea bags in a pot for one - well done :-)

The butterscotch waffle is immence .. ice cream butterscotch sauce chocolate sprinkles bannana pieces ... heaven very rustic and being a converted mill gives it an origional feel ,, amazing food

You have to give the chilli con carne waffle a go. And if it’s on the specials board, the Apple Crumble waffle with custard .

Lovely old water mill converted restaurant with parking , gets very busy in the late mornings/early afternoons.

So very 'meh'. Heard so much about how great this place was and I must say that I was disappointed. I can see the appeal: a family-friendly place for a bite to eat, but the food's completely average!

You cannot book . Expect a queue on weekend lunchtime, although it moves quite quickly.

On the weekends try get here before 12 to avoid the queues. They do move quickly though

You can book after 5:30pm on weekdays.

Oh and the chocolate milkshake ... Thick!

Go for the pecan and butterscotch waffle !

It's summer but they close at 6pm. Great way to lose customers.
