Nice homely pub , the oldest in England . Good selection of real ales - try the Black Jack black IPA if it's on. Also lots of boardgames with none of the right bits.
Claims to be the oldest pub in the country with parts of the structure dating back to the 8th century. Loads of nooks and crannies. Great real ales .
Burgers are nice and everything but try the duck confit . It's really good. Don't forget to try the ales on tap . Food is served after 18:00.
Great range of beers ; friendly and knowledgeable staff ; straightforward tasty food; masses of character being one of England 's oldest pubs ; fabulous location in the Summer, cosy in the Winter.
One of the best pubs in town . Lovely food , specially beef burger and the barbecue on Thursdays. Always great Ales available.
Very cosy, part of Campaign for Real Ale so they always have good local beers on tap .
Good food, cheerful staff - always a winning combination. Recommend the beef burger and the sausages .
