Try out the cocktail ice cream libations. They are so good. It's OK to sit at the bar . Great place for people watching as grandparents take their 21-something grandkids for their 1st real-world drink.

I am simply blown away by this place. It is the fanciest, most old school, beautiful ice cream parlour I have ever been to. I recommend going at night for a fun, romantic atmosphere .

Everything is great here. I love to bring friends here when they visit from out of town . Sit in one of the private booths to listen to corny radio soap operas. The Peach Belini Float is wonderful.

Ice cream , of course. Sundaes (big and mini) and milkshakes . Love the banana split . Also great lunch options, and boozy ice cream martinis .

The ice cream , handmade sodas , and grilled cheese are all divine. Service was top notch! They even offered to go cups for our ice cream . The decor is a fun art deco . Highly recommend!

I love the French onion roast beef . I never had an alcoholic ice cream drink before. But I fell in love with the raspberry lemon drop .

One word...YUMMY! I've eaten here twice and it was delicious both times. If you are on a diet forget it for one meal! The Bearcat sundae was amazing and I tasted the adult grilled cheese ...WOW!

Save room for dessert ! The ice cream is wonderful. Yes, they have fancy concoctions , but don't pass up a simple scoop of ice cream . I love the Zanzibar Chocolate with banana slices on top.

The sandwiches are great, atmosphere is fun, & service is attentive. The ice cream , however, is the show-stealer. If u don't have room 4 ice cream after ur meal, try the world's smallest sundae !

Great service and really friendly staff . The soups are fabulous. Actually, everything hear is wonderful. At times can be really noisy in the front of the restaurant .

Beautifully decorated restaurant . Plus, the bathroom is regularly voted one of the best in the country . Good food and desserts too.

Heather Dawn is the best server ever! Get the Zanzibar ice cream ! Gluten free bread option , pretty sure it's Rudis brand so I recommend getting it toasted or it falls apart .

Try the Strawberry Shake - Rich, creamy ice cream (from Wisconsin of course), real strawberries and fresh-made whipped cream . Complete with tin and more shake goodness! Love it.

St. Louis sandwich is like pasta house salad on bread . So good! Have with Zanzibar chocolate shakes or black cherry soda .

They call it Fountain on Locust because they serve soda here. Soda comes from fountains . That’s why it’s called Fountain on Locust. I am having a beer though. Beer does not come from a fountain .

Delicious food, good drinks...it's a fun place. The dill pickle soup is a specialty (don't knock it till you try it) and they also make great milkshakes and desserts .

All of their soups are phenomenal ,but the tomato bisque is thick, warm and comforting, like nana's old blanket.

Try the Cajun Corn Chowder - Cajun corn chowder - the fountain on locust. This was just a cup. I really like the flavor.

Black cherry soda , must have an ice cream speciality and the black hawk sandwich with soup . One of my favorite places in town !

Best ice cream money can buy

Great ice cream and home-made caramel . Gluten-free menu, which is great. However - Beware the grilled chicken breast - very processed and fatty. Would not recommend.

The deep dish Apple pie ice cream is amazing! Get it topped with the hot caramel .
