Best ice cream anywhere. Always a line but they get your order ready promptly. It is definitely worth the wait. We live in Tennessee and have to get our Ted Drewes "fix" when we come to St. Louis.
Besides famous concretes, you can also order classic malts , shakes , sundaes , floats and ice-cream sodas . Ted Drewes has been serving up frozen goodness since the 1940s. Read more
This is as nostalgic as it gets, serving the best soft serve frozen custard around on historic Route 66 since 1929. My server defied gravity with this cookie dough concrete as well as my taste buds!
Delicious frozen custard ! Fave shake & sundae flavors: Cardinal Sin (tart cherries , hot fudge ), Dutchman (chocolate , butterscotch , pecans ), Turtle (hot fudge , caramel , pecans ), and Abaco Mocha . ????
Everything is good here it's frozen custard ! I had a concrete with cherry and chocolate chips ☺️ pure heaven in a cup????! If you don't stop by it is your loss????????????????????
The BEST! Great after Cards & Blues games. I've been here many times. Always friendly fast service no matter how long the lines . I recommend the Dutchman concrete ! A MUST visit if you're in St. Louis
Tons of choices! Always great! The line situation is usually confusing but still very fast. I go for the classic cookie dough .
Cardinal sin certainly is sinful...decadent incarnate. Also, lemon crumb is perfect for hot days. Good refreshing lemon flavor without being too tart or cloying.
Everything is good. Lots of seasonal flavors available. My current favorites are the Blue Note (lemon crumb with blueberries ) and the Great Pumpkin .
Daunted by the line ? Don’t worry - even if it looks packed, the Ted Drewes’ staff is quick. We promise, it’s worth the wait. For more insider tips, follow Moonrise Hotel on Twitter: bit.ly/moonriseTW
Line are frequently long but they move quickly. Generally the middle lines move the fastest.
A must-visit place if you're in town . Bring your pooch out to socialize. A lick of yummy vanilla frozen custard will be such a good reward for well-behave dogs. Of course no chocolate for dogs
When it comes to frozen custard Ted Drewes is a staple of the St.louis community. The best advice I can give is yes the lines always look long but go quite fast. Which is a plus.
Frozen yogurt is always good but today we were here for a Christmas tree . Fair prices and a wonderful selection of trees
Always love the vibe here. Be prepared for a crowd quite often in the evening, but it moves fast. Find a trunk or bench to sit down on and enjoy the vibe
There's only one flavor—classic vanilla—but you can order any number of mix-ins, from Oreos to butterscotch to cherry , to make a creation that suits your taste. Read more
Always go for a concrete! Fruit flavors are real! Banana and Raspberry ! Also, chocolate and candy flavors cure a serious sweet tooth. Add marshmallow for a fluffy kick to anything. Best Ice Cream ever
The Heath Concrete was awesome. Just a mini is enough for a delicious dessert ! Be prepared to wait in line ; be patient it is worth it!❤️
I prefer to keep it simple with one flavor and keep it small. Their custom mixes come in a larger size cup than I can handle.
My favorite concretes are raspberry chip , peach tedad (scotch oatmeal cookies ), and lemon crumb with blueberries . You can't go wrong at Ted Drewes.
This place was CRAZY!! We had to park a few blocks away but the lines moved fast. Good custard !! I wish there were places to sit and enjoy your custard .
A St. Louis staple! You can’t go wrong with any concrete—they’ll serve it upside down.
Amazing! Have to try the Hawaiian Concrete! You can also get orders to go with dry ice ! Perfect to get one for the road !
A staple of STL is our frozen custard . You're either into this, or into Fritz's. Or you're a rare person who's open to either. ;)
A St. Louis landmark . Grab a concrete or hot fudge sundae and people watch . On old Route 66 and a must see.
True to its word, custard wont fall out of cup even on 100 degree day! Try the Pumpkin or Cardinal Sin concrete
Seriously worth the hype! Old school frozen custard here. I ordered the lemon crumb concrete and was not disappointed. Cheap prices too. A St. Louis staple.
Sundae , smoothie , shake or cone .. U name it they have it.. Osum place sure would luv to visit again .. :D
Serious St. Louis staple!!! I always hit up Ted Drewes after a Cardinals game or a concert . Looks super busy but the service is super fast!!!
The original! Best frozen custard you’ll find in the entire state of Missouri! A tradition since 1929!
Excellent custard , the kids size was perfect for ours. The small size seemed to be the perfect amount for adults.
Anything here will be delicious. Today's treat was the "Brennan Blend". Mocha , macadamia nuts , and caramel . Yummy!
A St. Louis staple that requires you to get a concrete. All the flavones are good. And don't despair, the line moves quickly.
Ted Drewes is by far the best option in St. Louis as far as "ice cream " goes. I always bring my out of town friends.
Whatever you visit St. Louis, you must go. And, if you live here, you probably go once a week in the summer!
Awesome frozen custard ! Be prepared to park elsewhere and walk because it's super busy in the warmer months.
Be sure to be prepared for a line but well worth the wait. Get the new Sated Carmel Pretzel concrete, it's delicious!
Lemon crumb is my fave I love key lime pie and this tastes like a lemon one it was amazing
Don't get discouraged by the large crowds out front. A lot of people have already gotten their custard & the line moves fast!
Head to one of the stands on a hot summer night for a signature "concrete" - which your server will turn upside-down to demonstrate its density - and see how long you can wait in line . Read more

When two friends and I started RAB Baseball in 2007, we knew next to nothing about the industry. We were just three guys who liked to write about baseball .
The ice cream was very good and worth going to again and again! Very fast even though the line was long!
Order at the window. Flavors range from the standards (strawberry , chocolate ) to more exotic offerings (pomegranate , lime ). http://bit.ly/11JWTO3
In the fall, there's many choices but only one right choice: The Great Pumpkin . A whole piece of pumpkin pie ? In custard ?!?!? Please sir, may I have another.
Many options to choose from! Super creamy and smooth! Awesome spot, very popular with kids :)
Best frozen treat in the summer. Best Christmas trees during the holiday season. (and they'll even help you tie it to your car)
If you want an adventure, ask your cashier what their favorite treat is and then order it. I got a malt chip concrete and it was awesome!
Fall = Great Pumpkin , Winter = Big Apple, Spring = Bunnycrete, Summer = Work your way down the menu until you've tried them all.
Beautifully decorated restaurant. Plus, the bathroom is regularly voted one of the best in the country. Good food and desserts too. - Joseph B.
The Nitro Ices are so creamy & amazing! Peach Chai is my favorite so far. - Chiara Andriole
The malts were worth the wait. Cherry and a marshmallow malt - so creamy/thick! Great service too - Kadee White
Best Target ever. Not a bad place to work! The staff is friendly, and you make friends quickly. The Starbucks and covered parking are awesome. - Christine Anderson
I highly recommend going to the top. On weekends plan to be in line for hours. We went during the week in August with no lines and saw the sunset. BEAUTIFUL! The museum is interesting as well. - Robin Marolt
This is a great place to go during Christmas to see the lights! Traffic gets really backed up with people waiting to drive through, so it would be faster to park and walk instead. - Laura Rogg
