I hereby anoint this fresh banana malt , dyed blue in fervor of the STL Blues hockey team as they battle for the Stanley Cup, King of all smoothies and malts across this land. Best malt I’ve ever had.

A true classic.... ... that is disappearing from neighborhoods . Crown Candy Kitchen was simply special; excellent, simple sandwiches , chili , chili mac (!), and lunch counter staples.

One of the best sandwich spots in the world, like stepping back in time inside an old soda shop. The BLT served with Miracle whip has 1 lb of bacon packed in it! And it’s incredible.

Marshmallow malt , BLT, Rueben , jawbreakers, chocolate . Do not worry about the line . It moves fast, and in the end you won’t complain about it anyway. This is a St. Louis treasure.

This place is cool, love the early 1900's vibe. The area around it is a bit downtrodden unfortunately but it is worth the trip...during daylight hours.

The sandwiches and malts are awesome!! Massive bacon on the BLT and fresh cut meats - can't beat it - great for kids and families too!

The area is a little sketchy but the malts were worth it. Chocolate banana and chocolate fudge

In a less-than-great neighborhood , crown candy is a shining star of milkshakes , snacks , and old-fashioned candy heaven. Worth the visit for the sugar high and the East St. Louis experience.

Line out the door - be patient it is worth it! Great portions, nice selection.

Don't get scared off by the line , it moves really fast. If you visit during the summer, cross the street and check out the farmer's market for all local produce .

Its a St Louis tradition to try at least once, but we really got turned off by crowds, lines , rude waitresses , tiny booths and unbelievable din inside.

BLT is delicious, but u have to be a true Bacon lover. Ice cream soda is delicious. First time here? Split the malt with a friend. It's a lot!

Rough neighborhood , great desserts and sandwiches . Plus the olde time feel is great.

Fish Fillet is good and BLT too! Strawberry Malt was good. But, the line was too long. We've waited for like an hour and half, but it's worth it ;-)
