My favorite place to come every summer. I love it because its wild and beautiful. Big waves, hot sun, impressive fog. Look how dramatic it can get at sunset . Rent a house and stay awhile. #cglifestyle
Gorgeous beach . Get there early before the parking lot gets crowded . Fog rolls in around 4pm.
There’s a brilliant cafe near the beach - Siren Cafe I think - makes the whole experience great. Strong recommend.
It gets a little crowded on weekends, so grab the first parking spot you see, and try well before the town itself, if you can. Otherwise a generally beautiful spot!
In the winter months, if the weather's cold, head to the Surfer's Grill on the north end of the beach to seek shelter. Even if it's closed, you can still hang out and watch the sun set from the patio
Pretty drive up the coast (little treacherous but worth it). The water is too cold to enjoy in Sept but the beach is perfect.
Gorgeous beach and drive to get there but it is quite the drive off the highway on a VERY windy road close to the edge of the cliff without guardrails at some places.
Best beach in northern Cali, beware of sharks if you go out too far, it's known as part of the red triangle for a reason, also best to have a wetsuit, the water is freezing
Drive across the Golden Gate Bridge , through Muir woods and along the coast until you come to Stinson Beach. Sit oceanside and see the San Francisco skyline in the distance and enjoy the waves
Beach , beach , and more beach . Small town with nothing to do but hit the beach . Not too shabby IF you can find parking . Arrive before noon.
Traffic getting there can get crazy busy on nice weekend days, but arguably #worthit
Have a dog? Go to the beach at the north end of the parking lot . Don't? Go to the south.
Great beach ! Surfing . Quiet escape. Rent a place and finish your novel
For a Sunday afternoon it was pretty crowded . They have showers and some restaurants
The weather it's a bit unpredictable travel with a sweater and raincoat but you will need your sunglasses in the afternoons.
Beautiful beach to watch the sunrise and sunset .
Go in the fall when it is warm and sunny.
Great beach . Can become super crowded in warm days or holidays.
Bring a kite for the beach , have burgers at the dairy queen. You're in California, land of milk and honey .
this beach is perfect for kite flying! Best time of year is fall.
A lot of Big, fun Waves! So much fun to buggy board! I love it!
Some fun boulder problems in the South End just off the overflow parking .
Stinson is a very popular and busy beach . Go around the corner to Bolinas, it's worth the drive.
pick up some Fiorello's ice cream & home made mini cupcakes @ The Lunch Box . Bring a burlap sack & spend the day sand duning ...
Very nice weather! Not so cold and not so hot! The sand is so soft, and doesn't hurt my feet!
lovely, and lots of great hikes start or end from nearby
Keep the beach nice. Also watch out for sharks and undressed Marin people. Both will bite and make you sick,,
Keep your eye out for turnouts on the drive to and from the beach because there are some great vantage points for pictures.
Beautiful beach , great sunset
Looking for a beach house? Check out Oceanic Realty. Looking for a GREAT place to eat in West Marin? Try Saltwater in Inverness.
Get in the water! You'll get used to it :)
Beautiful beach , quiet and relax place to visit;)
Best thing about this beach is the type of sand. Once it dries, just wipes right off.
Chill Northern Cal beach ...worth hanging for the day.
Awesome no frills place, not too crowded for a Sunday.
Most beautiful beach I've seen in the bay area
Nice beach ! Cool drive from San Francisco.
The sunsets !
Great beach , but watch for outlying fog (frigid h2o!!)

A great venue for events or just walking around, particularly down by the water. - drew tarvin
One of my absolute favorite places in San Fran! Gorgeous views, dog friendly, perfect for a long walk/picnic/run. Always a bit chilly/windy so plan accordingly. Tons of history, architecture, etc. - Lacey Capps
My first time here in freezing dec 2016 was definitely an experience, walked the basic redwood trail, will definitely do more hiking once the weather is good. A must visit! - keerthi annavarapu
Risotto with shrimps and crab was just perfect! Love it ❤️ Staff was professional and friendly. - Олеся Дадерко
Great food. Their Bloody Mary is crazy and delicious. Breakfast enchiladas are also #amazeballs. - :)
This is a homey little place, great service, full bar and live music. Food is average, but still fun to eat here. I had the wedge salad and the clam chowder. Oysters and great wines! #cglifestyle - California Girl
