Be sure to visit at low tide and wear some sturdy beach shoes so you can walk out amongst the big rocks separating the two beaches to discover tidal pools of anemones, crabs and sea stars!
It was really cold when we visited, but still some people swim . Lovely place for weekend trip. Also it is very close to Muir Woods.
Beautiful view of huge crashing waves. Take the trail on the left past the beach to the bluff right there for another breathtaking view .
Very nice beach . Not crowded . Great hiking as well .
I prefer Muir to Stinson Beach . It's really nice and quiet here. Feels a bit more secluded in this small bay .
The drive from the Golden Gate Bridge to this beach might have been the most fun I've ever had behind the wheel... The drive isn't for the faint of heart, though.
Small local beach that isn't "touristy". Climb over the rocks north to the smaller beach it feels like a secret/personal beach .
Very dog friendly beach ???????????? amazing view !
Gorgeous!!! Wasn't too crowded either. People were nice and after you have fun in the sun stop at the Pelican Pub for a pint!
Make sure to visit the Muir Beach overlook...it is breathtaking...bring a picnic lunch and enjoy your meal down the trail to the left, where the picnic tables are...its very romantic Read more

Great little beach . You can't help envying whoever lives right there
Small beach , and not too many visitors. Fires allowed in the rings!
Nice beach , just so cold and foggy!

Haven't been here since maybe the mid-90's. Had to stop by, walk the trails and smell the Ocean :)
Take the hike up to the overlook!

Toes in the water, ass in the sand.
Une très belle petite plage mais aussi le point de départ d'une balade en surplomb de l'océan ; vous pourrez même apercevoir San Francisco sur votre chemin
It's a hike from the peninsula but totally worth it. The beach is made up of tiny dark rocks instead of sand and you can bring your pooch - Ashley Spears
Nice leisurely hike, with a quiet uncrowded beach at the end. Good place to sit and enjoy a good book with the calm waves. - Nitin Puri
A true Marin gem. A traditional English country house off of Muir Beach and Muir woods. Come for the vibe, the fish & chips, and the cask ale. - Dave Morin
Amazingly peaceful if you go early (before 9am) or hike far to get away from crowds. - Amy B
There’s a brilliant cafe near the beach - Siren Cafe I think - makes the whole experience great. Strong recommend. - Tom Coates
