Nice leisurely hike , with a quiet uncrowded beach at the end. Good place to sit and enjoy a good book with the calm waves.
Dense fog, jagged rocks jutting out into the Pacific Ocean, the remains of a World War II bunker. Tennessee beach captures the imagination.
Great (hidden) beach you get to on Tennessee Valley trail (2.5 km one way). Has some great vistas on the rocks to the left and right. Bring a picnic and some beers !
Peaceful , beautiful & solitude. There are stairs to the look out. Don't scale the hill .
Different levels to walk or hike .better mid week
Enjoy a nice little hike to get to this beach from the parking lot . Bring water.
This is one of the best hidden gems in the entire bay area. Amazing lookout at the top of the entire city skyline and the golden gate bridge. Still one of my favorite scenic places in the SF area - Edward Homick
It's a hike from the peninsula but totally worth it. The beach is made up of tiny dark rocks instead of sand and you can bring your pooch - Ashley Spears
Great local hiking experience. Recommend the Miwok Trail above the valley for the scenic views. Beach at the end is great, but windy. - David R
There’s a brilliant cafe near the beach - Siren Cafe I think - makes the whole experience great. Strong recommend. - Tom Coates
Chuleta Frita is amazing (must try) and the Paraíso sandwich is very tasty. - Zak Suhar
Any fresh catch on top of linguini is awesome. Excellent beer selection too! - emily moyer
This is one of my favorite trails. If you hike from Tennessee Valley to Muir Beach you can take a side trip from the beach to Pelican Inn for a beer or fish & chips before hiking back. - hikerly
