Tennessee Valley Trailhead

Gorgeous coastal hills , canyons, and beach with trails both perfect for introducing kids to hiking and mountain biking and that also link to long regional trails that challenge the experienced.

Be sure to climb the stairs for the ocean view on the lower tennessee valley trail head !! Use the restroom before you leave. Takes about 2 hours to get to ocean, up stairs, and back . Worth it!!!

This is a perfect trail for families or when less athletic visitors come to town . Paved and relatively flat but stellar views at the beach . A real gem. Parking can be crowded though so arrive early.

Great local hiking experience. Recommend the Miwok Trail above the valley for the scenic views . Beach at the end is great, but windy .

This is the farthest you can drive on Tennessee Valley Road . Park here, and start your hike or run to the beach . Last public restrooms (no sink) until you get pretty close to the beach .

Easy hike to a beautiful beach . Too cold & too crazy of a current to swim but magical to look at
