Everything was great here! My kids are 18, 11, and 7 and they each enjoyed it. The animals were a favorite part. They were sluggish mid day when it was hot. Morning probably would be better.

Archaeological Research Collective Inc

They have on-site archaeological excavations & accept volunteers. Archaeology also helped inform some of the park design & recreations . There is a great museum in the visitors center.

I LOVE this place. I love the zoo , the trails , It's a wonderful, cheap thing to do on a great Saturday, pack a lunch and pick a spot on the grass and enjoy! AND you're in the middle of history.

Photo Tip: Be sure to visit The Adventure, a fully-functional replica of a trading vessel used during the time Charles Towne was founded.

If you're a runner, they have numerous runs here. High probability of getting an age group award, usually unique awards too. And they have a great dinner afterwards.

The birthplace of Charleston. Where the Carolina colony was settled in 1670. The most historic place to visit in the area with the area’s only zoo .
