Cholla Trail is a hiking trail Paradise Valley located in United States.
Cholla & Invergordon Paradise Valley , AZ 85253 United States
If you can survive the scramble up the jagged desert rocks, you will be rewarded with sprawling views of the Phoenix Metro area. Bring water and get ready to climb and sweat to get to the very top.
It gets hot quickly during the day. Bring a lot of water and don't give up before you reach the top!
Pros: less crowded , fewer Scottsdale-ites wearing gallons of perfume, more climbing near the end. Cons: must park & walk, much more slippery/treacherous on the way down, no H2O at trailhead.
A good steep hike although manageable for most. You'll want to get there 1 hour before sunrise to avoid the crowd and the heat.
Bring enough water: AT LEAST 1L per person. If you use 1/2 your water, it's a good idea to turn back!
The best hiking adventure lots of great people.
Bring a water bag if possible cus you will need both hands got the steep climb!
One of the more difficult hikes in Phoenix, but the view is totally worth it.
Cholla trail is better for running up And down, but trail is narrow so you easily get stuck behind the slow walkers :[. I like the echo canyon side better but it gets really crowded . Happy hiking !! :]
If you are doing this in the summer then try and get there before daybreak.
As long as I can remember, hikers on the way up have the right of way.
Climbing Camelback Mountain learn your personal strengths.
Great workout, definitely a challenge though...expect to climb and get your hands dirty . Some parts are steep. Completely worth the climb 100% though
Very rocky terrain so if you've got bad knees I wouldn't recommend it. The higher you get the more treacherous the path. Bring plenty of water and take it slow if you are not an experienced hiker .
Who woulda thought a mountain the middle of a city would be hard
Nice hike , be sure to bring plenty of water though as it tends to get hot.
If your hiking with portable speakers your doing it wrong
Prohibited to hike after sunset . Don't get a parking ticket or criminal citation.
Nice quiet climb on early Sunday mornings. Start at 6:30am or earlier.
I love hiking Camelback. It is challenging and a great view at the top.
Easier to conquer than the echo side. Longer path for those that like to trail run
Hotter and hotter each morning, so hydrate properly night before.
GREAT Hike . Gets a little technical at the top but worth the trip.
Beautiful view !! & a nice hike . Sometime it's a bit crowded
Great place to go for a stroll.
Anyone go up & down in less than an hour??? Looking for running mates 4:45 AM is the best time to start! 480-388-0722
Last half is mountain climbing! Where good shoes and bring some gloves!
Start early, take plenty of water .
Bring water . PS NO Facilities...
Bring water !!
Stay away on the weekends, it's more like a club than a mountain . Easy on the perfume/cologne kids!
Bring water ! Lots of water.
Longer way up but a little easier than the other side
Going down is more fun.
The best, more gradual accent to Camelback. Great views and workout..
Best Of Phoenix Winner: Best Hiking Trail . This trail has a great mix of challenges, yet ease (in comparison to Camelback's other trails ). Bring water and leave the pup at home for this trail ! Read more
Got a parking ticket on Invergordon, beware.
Great place to get some fresh air and a lot of exercise. Don't forget to bring plenty of water ! Bring your dog too, they love it!
???? ????
Fácil até próximo ao topo, apenas a última parte é mais arriscada, embora a subida seja forte desde o início.
fun workout with friends! would definitely bring enough water, but they also have some coolers to refill at the trails start - Michael Montgomery
If your in town for a few days, and love hiking, you must attempt Camelback. It is a great hike with an amazing view! Just be cautious with parking, it can fill up pretty quickly so get their early. - Michelle O
If you are looking for a relaxing hike, filled with beautiful sites to see, this is the right trail! But, make sure to allot at least three hours if you plan to go all the way to the top. - Jessi Schultz

Basically a paved/cobbled trail. Good for dates or easy hikes. - Joel Solomon
LOVE LOVE LOVE this trail. Watch out for bikers though! this trail is awesome day or night! great views! - Jenn Aragon
Great hikes only if you're in great shape. Both trails are the hardest in Phoenix. Don't come near sunset because the trail closes at sunset year round. Dogs aren't allowed. - Chris Webb
A wonderful gem in the Arcadia area. Everything is fantastic...ambiance, food, gifts, wine, bakery goods, etc. Everyone loves LGO! - Stacy Bayless
