The archetype of the no-nonsense South Philly Italian waitress may have been born at this Italian Market landmark amid the letterboard menus, brimming glasses of chianti and plates of giant meatballs .

From the sassy server to the delicious food this place is exactly what you expect from a restaurant in the Italian market .
The food was very good, service timely. If you like expresso after dinner you’ll have to get it elsewhere. Villa Di Roma does not offer expresso . I found that very unusual for an Italian Restaraunt.
This is the place to go if you want Italian. Period. End of story. Mangia!
Shrimp Scampi is the best anywhere. Veal Sicilian , Villa salad , fried asparagus , it's all good!
Meatballs melt in your mouth. Great basics like ravioli . Ziti with asparagus ? Amazing.
