Spacious and well maintained gym , friendly staff . Indoor running track , cardio and weights (free + machines). Basketball , tennis and ping pong .
Take my daughter there for track and field (PPYRC). A great place for her too expel that extra energy. A little bit over crowded at times. But overall she has a great time. Clean/great staff .
Join Miho (❤️) and Elias for Vinyasa and Lissy for Hatha (Lissy is also very good for setting your asanas, so you should go to her class especially if you're a beginner).
Summer camp is based at P.S.10, last year was awesome. This year, no so much. Last minute changes and parents are not notified; I.e. trip to Manhattan cancelled kids were taken to Bowling in Brooklyn
This is the best gym in NYC! So happy it's finally opened. The 200m track alternates direction, SunMonWedFri counter-clockwise, SatTuesThurs clockwise. 8 laps to a mile. Brand new surface.
Dear people in classes in the Mind Body Room: Don't stand in the doorway while another class is in session and talk before your class starts, you're ruining my savasana.
baby changing tables in the restrooms on the west wall. diaper disposal only in designated receptacles
An indoor running track and affordable memberships are among the crowd-pleasing perks at the community fitness center .
I like the pleasant, clean and comfortable atmosphere . It's a lot of fun playing table tennis here on weekends.
Best track option if the armory in Manhattan isn't available/ but west highly cushioned shoes / it's a hard track !
a few vending machines to the right of the membership desk
Stephanie, Joanna, and Lisa are incredible spin instructors (better than some I have had at Flywheel). But stay away from Kimmy 's classes !
Torn. Good crowd of people work out here, employees are nice, but god help you if you want to use treadmill or cardio machines peak hours w/o waiting 10 minutes.
Make sure you bring a quarter for a ping pong ball.
stroller parking to the left of the entrance
WoW the spinning coach is the mayor of the house! Great class btw, awesome week starts and ends! Thanks Margo D
For yoga : Teresa rocks in every way, Elias is gentle, great for beginngers. Zaria and Sarah W will kick your a** if you let them!
Park Slope Food Coop members get a discount !!! Dollar, Dollar, bill yah!
Visit the veterans museum and the escape tunnel .
Try not to kill an unruly toddler who is intent on either breaking your neck or attempting suicide on the running track . I blame the douchey parents.
Quarters for the ping pong tables are essential.
Take any class with Frances and expect an @$$ kicking amazing workout!
balcony seats are off limits
If you bring a guest, make sure they bring their ID
Great, clean and moderately busy- mostly on weekends.
kimberly and sarah w. are great yoga teachers there. sarah is moving on but kimberly is still there sunday mornings
pilates classes every day but sunday
Rosalyn runs a great spin class Saturdays at 2, and there's room for more people!
Gorgeous facility. No wait for cardio or weights in the morning!
Love the Zumba teachers here! ♥
Zumba with Daniela is so much fun and a great cardio work out!
watch out for the guy who coughs and blows his nose all over the cardio room .
this place is crazy-expensive compared to other gyms in the area. unless you have kids or can take mid-day classes , it's not a good deal at all. it's just as busy as the $10/month gym ... just sayin'
IRS beautiful but very warm. As with all things park sloe it is overrun with little people
Punk rope is an awesome class kimmy rocks!
The track is for runners not joggers
You dont have to be a senior to take senior yoga on Tues @ 9AM
Avoid wannabe hipsters with too much facial hair under the age of 30 and complain bitterly about kids who really pay for this facility...
10am - 2pm the track and courts are closed, but the back area is still open.
Could definitely use more cardio machines .
Bring your own towel!!
No showers
Avoid yuppie parents who think they own the place because their unruly children take ballet here.
Super crowded every morning and evening, going at off hours is necessary. It's around 60 a month but worth it if you utilize the sauna/steamroom and the classes! Alma and Keiko are best instructors. - India Morgan
Finally got the chance to come here with my dogs for off-leash hours! It was awesome! So much open so space to run around. - Paige C
This place has the best selection of fresh fruits, veggies, and meats in the area! Got salmon here that was the bomb. Relatively inexpensive, too. - Caitlin Garzi
Very friendly staff! Excellent food. Norwegian Benedict and baked eggs hit the spot! Get the roasted potatoes as your side. - Elysha Beckerman
