Village Whiskey

I don't live in Philly, but this is easily one of my favorite bars in the world. Great list of whiskey , scotch and rye . Always there after dinner for a rye and cask ale .

Amazing cocktails , especially the Bee Charmer and Commodore. Don't forget to try their fried pickles as well . The space is a bit tiny so it can get a little crowded but it's absolutely wonderful.

Besides the American whiskeys , they have an extensive selection of scotch , and international whiskies , e.g. Kavalan, Amrut Fusion, and some lesser known Japanese whiskies .

The best shrimp and grits I have had outside grandma's kitchen... No frills or foo foo, just straight flavor.. And they even toss in an egg !

I had the Whiskey wait experience. Not worth doing it again. Drinks = awesome! Waited 3+ hrs to eat at 11:30 pm. Get on the list early to avoid wondering if they forgot to call your cell.

If you don't get the duck fat fries with cheddar sauce and short ribs , you're doing it wrong.

They're not on the options list but the pickled beets are amazing on the burger . Especially good with a fried egg .
