One of the best running trails in the Chicago metro, I feel immersed in nature & forget I’m surrounded by the city . Well taken care of & they have an elk herd.
A solid paved path that's a pleasant workout for any skater. Could use a little maintenance (lots of vertical tarred up cracks) but no real rough patches. Pretty flat course with pretty views . 8.5/10
This is the "red trail ", the longest of several great trails in the preserve. Well maintained. 7.7 miles.
Bring your own water or die of dehydration - 0 water fountains at this place!
Wear bug spray or bug repellant . I got ate alive by all kinds of bugs . Have fun!
