Try the coffee crunch cake . It's not too sweet and has a nice coffee taste to it. A must have!

Always a stop when I'm in San Francisco. Moon cakes , black bean cakes , lotus cakes and more. Delicious and very inexpensive .

"Longest operating bakery in Chinatown, since 1924. Cash-only. Signature is coffee crunch cake : soft yellow sponge cake topped with toffee bits and mocha cream. Also, lotus-paste mooncakes ."

Hit or miss on freshness. I really like their super wife cake - $3.50 - as wife cakes are my favorite baked good , but occasionally (a month ago), they are stale and the lard pastry is like leather.

Not just baked goods - delicious dumplings and egg rolls too.
