Love how they have all the different types of bread on displayed. Tried the broccolini focaccia and almond croissant and would recommend both.
grab a loaf, go next door for a wheel of Mt. Tam cheese at Cowgirl Creamery , and find a secluded/scenic spot for a picnic ... one of my favorite meals/experiences in the city !
Tons of amazing bread . All different kinds freshly made . Had to buy a sourdough while in San Fran. You can't go wrong. All fairly priced and if you don't know which one you want very helpful staff
Best bread bakery in the city ; their French baguettes , kaiser rolls , ciabattas and multigrain are second to none. Excellent cookies & pastries as well .
I’m very particular and can confirm this is excellent bread . Pain de Epi is a wonderful French style loaf that pairs well with cheese . Highly recommend.
Best way to spend less than a dollar. Go get a yummy, fresh roll . Olive or raisin for savory or sweet.

Take it from an NYC bread snob - this place makes the best sourdough I've ever had. Just the smell of the rising dough outside is phenomenal.
Try a sampler by getting bunch of little rolls then grab some cheese next door at Cowgirl Creamery + bottle of wine then go have a picnic !
Toast a slice of their sweet loaf bread and slather on some creamy European style butter from the Farmer's Market here. Golden!
Herb Slab and Sweet Rolls are the way to go. Croissants are awesome too.
