Yes, The Rebel Within is great (as everyone says) but I feel their caramels are underrated. Smoked butter and sea salt ? Yes please! And they are also available to purchase online :)

Of course the rebel within is the highlight to have, but also the matcha latte w/almond milk makes a great compliment! I’ve been coming here for a while now & it’s always a favorite when I’m in SF!

Every baked item here, be it thai scone (green curry with ginger ) or roasted banana cake with coconut glaze or black sesame mandarin chocolate mouse cake , is a must try with a cup of coffee . Love it.

For breakfast , get The Rebel Within (muffin w an egg baked inside) with a side of Tabasco salt or the quiche ! For something sweet, their Kouigh Amman is wonderfully light with a sugar crust.

I dream about the Rebel Within every night that I'm not in San Francisco. (Don't be turned off by it's price -- it's breakfast/brunch/snack all in one muffin and worth every penny).

Beautiful place with top-notch service! The pastries were too good to be true, and just when I thought it couldn't get any better, their Croissant stole my heart. My overall experience was great!!!

Best fruit and granola in the mission. The fruit is fresh, seasonal and always changes. The granola is nice and crunchy and not too sweet.

I am an oatmeal cookie connoisseur and have eaten them all over the Bay Area. The oatmeal apricot cookies here are a twist on a nostalgic yet classic cookie :. chewy, sweet, salty, spicy , nutty. Yum.

Savory tart with really delicious ricotta cheese , sea salt and vegetables on crispy lavash ; ocean trout on preserved lemon , pancetta bits and pea puree. Amazing Summer refreshing!

While the prices are steep, the pastries are unique and delicious. The scones and quiche are consistently solid, and the Rebel Within is for the adventurous meat-eater.

Gorgeous presentation of pastries . Everything almost looks too good to eat. Beautiful space, too. Perfect fit for laid-back but pretentious foodies in the Mission. I say it with love.

delicious, indulgent pastries , of both the sweet and savory variety. my favorite was the hazelnut chocolate financier.

The smoked cheddar and hot pepper gougere is heaven. Next time I order it, I'm toasting it up and putting some butter on it. This is the best bakery I've ever been to!

The pastries are delicious and the sipping caramel is out of this world, but be warned- there is no wifi . This is especially problematic because the reception here (for AT&T at least) is really poor.

The rebel within is obviously a must try. Roasted banana bread with coconut glaze travel cake is moist and not too sweet. Delicious with a cup of coffee .

Unfortunately for vegetarians , The Rebel Within contains breakfast sausage . However, the market quiche was a nice consolation prize, with some crunchy sides to balance out its fluffiness.
