Trying to figure out which Louisiana-made hot sauce to shake into your gumbo ? Crystal sauce adds rounded, smoky pepper notes, while Tabasco delivers a tangy kick. Via City Eats.com Read more
The crab soup was amazing but the double chocolate bread pudding is to die for ask for Ike the server. He is a real character and is a regular on the HBO series Treme
The red fish is AMAZING! Get it. The alligator boudin balls? Eat them. The NOLA Blonde? Drink it. I know what I'm talking about. Trust me! And Ike the server? Request him. He is NOLA.
Gumbo is some of the best I've ever had, entree was the mahi mahi with beurre blanc and grilled asparagus , paid extra to have it topped with jumbo lump crab . Absolutely amazing!!!
A casual seafood place; the BBQ oysters , gumbo and blackened catfish were excellent
Try the Crab n Creole: Crab and grilled corn over sliced local tomatoes . Try the Fried Oyster Po Boy : the fried oysters are perfectly seasoned with a tangy sauce which really balances the sandwich .
We are oysters and crab dip and both were delicious :) the service begs for more friendliness. Prices are on a higher side, but for seafood more than acceptable.
The redfish was amazing! I could have poured the sauce in a glass and drank it! The crab appetizer was also delicious. Overall, will definitely come back.
Ask for Stephen, he is fantastic! The BBQ oyster poboy makes for a great lunch . Not your typical BBQ sauce . Delicious!!! Fresh bread ! Will be back!
The best bread pudding I've ever had! Double chocolate , vanilla bean ice cream with chocolate and white chocolate ganache !
The mahi with crab , shrimp and buerre blanc was delish! Couple of false starts...but Dawn handled difficulties professionally and curteously.
Had the red fish stew and it was excellent. The bread was similar to Cuban bread . The butler was big and tasted good.
Great place for lunch , definitely not the hustle and bustle that others describe. Right next to the Astor, makes a great quick lunch .
Get the red fish , pair with the BBQ oysters and a friend to share and you are on your way to being one happy person
The bar-b-qued oysters and the chocolate bread pudding are worth the calories! Make a reservation - especially on a weekend - to avoid a lengthy wait.
Not the best food in New Orleans but damn good. If you're over 40 and married there's no reason to venture further down Bourbon St after 6:00 PM.
This place is obviously a tourist trap, but the "BBQ" (fried) oysters are definitely tasty, as is the crab cake . Extensive whiskey collection.
Perfectly grilled red snapper with lemon butter sauce : amazing!
Choose Houpitoulas beer , best rated in ratebeer.com
Had the crab cake and it was very good. Also had the chocolate soufflé . Our waiter John was very personable.
Sit at the bar instead of waiting for a table. Get the BBQ oysters and crab dish with cheddar biscuits . Skip the gumbo .
The BBQ oysters are amazing and the service is excellent!
Barbecued oysters with blue cheese were ridiculous. The entrée was good, but I could just do the oysters . Dozens upon dozens of them
Great for convenience (close to most hotels ) not on price but the food is really good and the staff is friendly .
Amazing restaurant ! Great service, great ambiance and great food!
Fried Oysters and the Red Bull Bloody Maria. 4 shrimp and 2 crab claws in my breakfix cocktail
Service is excellent, food is outstanding
IKE...our waiter , absolutely a JOY to experience... The food was presented in a knowledgeable manner... and you know just what your getting and what taste to expect .
Enjoyed the BBQ Shrimp and Grits . Savory but not too much food to leave you stuffed. Has a kids menu (bonus!)
Good atmosphere. Good food! Good times!
Best food in the quarter.... gumbo , bbq 'd oysters , and hickory grilled red fish ... dessert double chocolate bread pudding .... ask for tony... ill take good care of ya
Try the "BBQ oysters " they are fried oysters coated with Crystal hot sauce and topped with blue cheese . Read more
the Alligator Sausage Gumbo was interestingly delicious
The shrimp and grits are delicious! Their barbecue sauce is very complex and interesting.
Ask for Adam and Michele, they were great. Get the BBQ oysters , they were so good that we ordered MORE!!!
The Hickory Smoked Red Fish is AMAZING!! Waiting on Chocolate Bread Pudding . Guessing that will also be fantastic!!!
The BEST restaurant in New Orleans! Hickory Grilled Redfish is PERFECT!!! The double chocolate bread pudding is also a must!
Loved the catfish ! Also the double-chocolate bread pudding is a must!
Request Ike--he is waiter extradinaire and has guest spots on Treme. Come hungry, order the BBQ Oysters , the Red Fish and the Double Chocolate Bread Pudding !
Get the redfish , and don't forget to order the bread pudding a la mode! Incredible!
Try the fried oyster appetizer and the red fish signature dish.
Great red snapper ! Loved the mustard sauce .
The bread pudding rocks!! You HAVE to get it. Don't leave with out it al la mode!
Excellent food & service. We had Ike for a big group of guys (bachelor party).
Gumbo is insane and the Mahi was fantastic
Ask for Brandon. Gumbo is good, just small. Barbecue oysters are more like buffalo style oysters .
BBQ Oysters ...my favorite. I love them.
The shrimp parmesan cheese grits off the chain
Attending a private party. The food is amazing!! Will def return on my own.
Really enjoyed the lobster cheesecake .
If you're getting an app: octopus and tuna tartare are to die for! Can't go wrong with the red snapper! Great service, amazing food! - Stephanie
