Matsu Sushi

Reasonable & fresh... a good neighborhood option. Sushi deluxe has more exotic fish than most. Cute decor. Friendly staff . I was going to mention the smell of moth balls first until I ate the fish .

Matsu is a good option for the mid-priced range sushi places on the upper east side. Hidden away bet. 1st and York. Lot of creative and interesting rolls. The sushi by piece is pretty good as well .

I ordered for take out the salmon salsa roll , dragon roll and king crab roll . All were great when compared to sushi places I've tried for take out in BK. Therefore I'd give them 3/12 stars. Try it!

Ask for a sauce recommendation. The owner, Gary, has tons of custom made sauces that he uses in a lot of the rolls (like the Sex on the Beach and Manhattan rolls). EVERYTHING is good here!

The spicy salmon and spicy tuna rolls are made to perfection. Smooth and silky, the way it's supposed to be!

Very nice sushi place with pictures of customers on the wall. Try the age tofu appetizer and the bento boxes .

Lunch special is 11am-4pm. No exceptions. Their system changes over at 4pm. Try their spicy maki combo c!

Great sushi but the place gets crowded especially during the lunch rush! Have a few drinks at the bar while you wait because it's always 5'o clock somewhere!

Wendy and Gary (owners) are wonderful hosts. Sushi is always high quality, good size and quite tasty. We've been coming here since they first opened (Matsu I). Some of the best sushi in town !

First of all the easiest thing miso soup was terrible.I ordered some roll n yakisoba and told them NOT UDON.3 times even showed a pic. Still they brought the yaki udon and no soy sauce in bag. ????????

Amazing 3 roll lunch special . White tuna roll was AMAZING, Alaska roll was delicious & so was the shrimp tempura roll !

They have lunch special on saturday's too. Awesome. The food was very good.
