Shakespeare in the Park is one of the truly best NY experiences that you must do! Delacorte Theater is pretty awesome! Great acoustics ,cool ampitheater-style seating&a large stage with plenty of space

The summertime home of the Public Theater and a glorious outdoor stage for all their Shakespeare in the Park productions. Tickets are free, if you’re lucky enough to get ‘em.

Seats aren’t amazingly comfortable for what can sometimes be very long performances , but it is well worth it for the quality of production. The Public knows what they’re doing with the space.

Awesome outside theater with the right price when the weather cooperates. A gem of NYC living. Watch out for cameos from local raccoons.

FREE Shakespeare in the Park ! If you are in the standby line by 5pm you will have no trouble getting a ticket! Bring a picnic and enjoy the park while you wait!

If you are lucky enough to win the ticket lottery , it’s such a treat to attend “Shakespeare in the Park ” during the summer.

"No photography allowed" so snap a quick, no flash photo before you settle in. Hit the bathroom before the show as its looked down upon to get up during.

Best bet for Shakespeare in the Park tickets is the lottery at The Public (Astor Pl) from 11:30-12. You MUST be on time for lotto & to pick up tix

Get here super early! People line up by 7am to get tickets handed out at 12PM. Get a picnic blanket, lay it out and relax under the sun while you wait.

An absolutely necessary visit for anyone who steps foot in NYC in the summer. Magic.

If you want to line up for free tickets for #shakespeareinthepark , arrive as early as you can. Central Park opens at 6AM, and the line gets VERY LONG.

A must go to theatre . Definitely get a middle seat and enjoy Shakespeare at its most.

Lovely spot. Pack a small picnic with wine to enjoy (quietly ) during the performance .

Got here at 6am and 12th in line . Make sure to bring a chair or blanket, snacks , sunscreen , bug spray, and something to keep you occupied for the 6 hour wait!

Free Shakespeare in the Park is always worth the wait for tickets! One of the best things summer in NYC has to offer.

This 1800 seat, open-air theatre is home to the famous Shakespeare in the Park performances every summer.

Shakespeare in the park . Very few bad seats. Bring a blanket for the evening as well as your own snacks

The standby line for Shakespeare in the Park is usually pretty reasonable. Get there about an hour and a half before showtime.

If you don't want to wait all day for tickets, try the standby line before showtime or the online ticket lottery .

Mid-week, try walking up a few minutes before performance time to see Shakespeare in the Park . In this case, you get an insane amount more than what you pay for.

The theater itself was nice, but we weren't fond of the particular performance . Definitely will try another.

Not a bad seat in the house. Shakespeare in the Park was unforgettable.

Lovely venue, unfortunately the people handing out tickets are rude & petty "If you ask us a question, you go to the back of the line !"

Great until you get rained on or hear helicopters overhead that distract you from the show.

Marvelous setting for live theater . Seats on the narrow side, though -- not terribly comfortable .

Operators on Craigslist will wait in line for your tickets. Going rate seems to be $100/pair.

Alcohol is now allowed to be brought into the theatre , but no glass bottles .
