Contrary to its sister location on the east side, this small coffee shop does not serve sandwiches , but still serves a great coffee . If you trust me (and you should) a latte is all that you will need
Love this cozy little spot! The cold brew iced coffee is strong and delicious. The staff is very friendly . Limited seating but that's part of its charm.
Small shop but love the decor and the baristas. Make sure you grab a loyalty card if you plan on coming back for more!
A favorite place of mine to sit and write for a few hours while toting around the village , tactfully close to notorious attractions , making it a lovely coffee hiatus for tourists and locals alike.
You come here for the good espresso stuff. Pick your poison (cap, latte , macchiato , cortado , americano ). They know how to pull a shot.
High quality espresso , cozy vibe, and community-feel with conversation starters, questions of the day, and books to borrow. Wonderful spot in Chelsea!
Amazing taste of good quality coffee beans. Iced cappuccino goes well with natural grain bars . Cozy atmosphere . Perfect for rainy days in NYC :)
This is the best coffee shop ever. I always get the soy latte but everything is amazing... Including the people.
Whether you get an espresso , americano , latte or one of their special brews , it will be fantstic. Small, cosy, delicious and wonderful staff !
Try the flat white its awesome. There's a few birch coffees in the city . This ones a bit smaller. The upper west side location does some awesome sandwiches .
Best coffee shop in the area, treat yourself to a Kyoto drip coffee out of these monsters.
Dough 's hibiscus doughnuts are always a hit, but get there early before they sell out. They also have good cold brew , on draft or slow drip Japanese style .
Friendly staff , great cold brew , on-point selection of doughnuts , muffins , and scones from Dough , plus Balthazar croissants and magpie hand pies
Birch manages to maintain a small shop feel despite being a chain and located in a touristy intersection . Personable servers, carefully made drinks, fast service . Small space with limited seating .
Legitimate, gourmet coffee and espresso-based beverages. The first of two planned expansion stores in Manhattan, and the best staff around.
Cold brew growlers are perfect to take with you for long weekends outside the city .
Bloody great coffee . Very friendly service too. Definitely my new go to for caffeine when I'm in this neighbourhood.
Small place. Only three high top tables, and a couple seats by the window so don't assume you can have meetings here easily unless you go in the late evening!
one of Birch's tinier locations, with seating for ~10 people. as per usual, pastries from Balthazar and Dough are available
They serve loose leaf tea ! This location is tiny so I recommend getting your cup to go. The Green Dew is quite good :) Read more
Small but cozy . Lines are long in the morning but good place to people watch if you can get a window counter seats . Great espresso drinks .
Really good coffee . They have Dough donuts and other baked goodies .
Kyoto cold brew is tasty and very different from Stumptown 's cold brew
The coffee is good, no doubt about that, and the window seats are a great place to sit and work/entertain yourself by looking out on 7th Ave.
Coffee was great! Had an almond croissant but it was a little on the dry and crusty side. Possibly stayed in the oven a bit too long.
Really fantastic coffee . Small and hard to get a table. So don't plan an important business meeting here. You may end up standing.
I love this place cos they make flat whites ! Try one of their Dough donuts or Blue Sky muffin !
Best coffee in NY, amazing friendly & funny staff . My favorite morning place!
Small hip cafe , it's a little more expensive but the coffee is very good and made with care.
Great place to get coffee . They also sell cold brew . Staff very friendly .
Delicious lattes and a dirty chai that is a welcome swift kick in the ass. Love the staff and decor.

Toasted almond tea is a soup of scrumdiliumptious honey roasted almonds .
super cute boutique coffee place . Small menu but cute cups and decor!
Read a lot of tips that they serve a good lattee . I got an iced large lattee and I didn’t like.
Cold brew by the growler is good value once you get addicted to it.
Nice espresso blend. High notes of fruit .
This is maybe my favorite latte anywhere. I get it large with regular milk
Birch is the man. Comes through big time. Very crowded but usually worth the wait.
Delicious Burundi Chemex pour over
Macchiatios dont have enuf milk imo. Banana walnut muffins are delish!
The coffee is good and the staff really nice :)
Buy their coffee beans if you also brew coffee at home. So amazing and not super expensive for a bag.
Great granola bars ! and the coffee is pretty good too.
Mochas are so sweet and smooth! Plus awesome staff . Hi, other Michelle!
Their iced lattes are incredible. Like seriously smooth and delicious.
Consistently well-made cappuccinos and delicious Dough doughnuts
Mmm the cheddar , tomato , and avocado grilled cheese . Perfect pair to a well-poured flat white .
Amazing coffee and very friendly environment. Free wifi and excellent service. - Alexandros Markopoulos
One of my favorite neighborhood spots - a little out of the way from tourists & low-key. Get there early to work from the bar seats looking out on Charles St. - lauren
Superb service during the morning rush. The staff will get you in and out in no time, and the coffee is great. Much better than FIKA across the street. - Cole Kennedy
