Visitors get to see this from car or tour bus . I recommend walking back to it and taking time to appreciate the detail of the work. Jeanne d'Arc is one of my favorite historical heroines .
In 1889 the French community and the Fairmount Park Art Association commemorated the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution by purchasing Jeanne d’Arc statue , France’s heroine , from Frémiet .
‘Joan of Arc’ was created by artist Emmanuel Frémiet -- commissioned by the French community of Philadelphia to commemorate the centennial of the French Revolution in 1890.

The exhibits are very good and awesome to see even though you have to pay admission in order to enter the historic building. Loved viewing the ancient armor exhibits. The management &staff are helpful - Dave Lepkowski
