T3 Security & Passport Control

Quite frankly, I have never experienced a more efficient and polite security check anywhere.

It was very quick & efficient. But maybe that's because we landed just before noon!

Was worried about news reports of 2+ hour queue... but legit, it only took 25 minutes from our gate to baggage claim (on a random summer Saturday morning)!!!

The people here are so stern, yet friendly . They do their job and don't make you feel like you're under scrutiny.

You can refill your empty plastic bottles after the control for free!

There is a secret entrance and security line if you're a priority customer with Delta or Virgin Atlantic.

The NonEU line always so long. That’s the only downside, but the staff are very welcoming and helpful

Become a registered traveller if you can. It will save you a lot of time.

ePassport queue is so much quicker but as more people get them the slower it gets...still worth it tho

At least 1 hour during busy periods. Ridiculous. Not enough staff for sure!

Total disaster now! Never seen such a slow process for carry on inspections! 80% of bags got rejected and they're chemically testing deodorant and total dissection of everything! So slow!

Fast Track lane is a sham. _Way_ slower than general lane.

If you fly often, take few immigration cards here and complete in advance

Shocking queues for passengers and staff . Third world is better than this.

Don't take the ePassport gates. Most of them don't work.

Waiting time in a queue can be way longer than your flight was! Plan!

Iris scan registration only open 9-11am in departures although web says closed indefinitely

Always plan 45 minutes - 1 hour for T3 border control if you are not UK or EU.

Standard security can be busy aim for 10/11/12 for fastest queues

Fill up your boarding card in flight...they can't afford to keep pens here.

Tell the tossers at security what wankers they are!

You have to wait for at least half an hour to go through the passport control long line . Remember to fill in the entry landing card in advance on the plane with all BLOCK CAPITALS ENGLISH.

T3 Transfer security control one of the worst security staff in the world. Incompetent, rude and lazy. Not the case for rest of the airport .
