Authentic Japanese place - I recommend it if you're looking for the real thing. The atmosphere is comfortable and the food is solid & comforting. But - the washroom is outside around the corner! Read more
Just a nice place with excellent food....very fresh and tasty....great lunch specials , just the right amount of food. Service is also great.
Authentic , Japanese run resto. Very fresh and plentiful sushi and sashimi plates. Lovely staff . One of my fave lunch spots .
The bathroom requires a short walk outside to the nearby parkade -- worth knowing in the winter or if it's dark outside and you don't feel safe.
Kaki fry ( oyster croquette ) is seasonal and even in the summer they don't have it everyday , order while lasts!
The keyword here is fried. Forget everything you know about light Japanese food and feast on the tempura , croquettes , and karaage . Great comfort food for winter time.
Good old fashioned homemade Japanese food here. My favourites here are the curry rice or kaki-fry (deep fried oysters ). Read more
Get the salmon okayo-don. So fresh and authentic .
Friendliest staff I've ever had in a sushi place, and the spicy rolls are really good and great value ($5.95 for 8)
One of the best Japanese in Toronto. I love their Katsu Don !
Simple, tasty and (apparently) authentic Japanese .
The croquettes here are great. Also, try the chicken katsu curry . I wish this place had late business hours.
Come for the curry . Croquette recommended.
Sushi and noodles
Fantastic food - small place with incredibly fresh fish and good lunch deals . Highly recommended!
Be forewarned...there are NO restrooms here (how is that legal, btw??)!!
it's pretty good, but the portions are on the smaller side
One word... croquette !
Genuine Japanese. Not to be missed.
Try the Japanese food
Kaki fry dinner . Sooooooo good!!
Best sesame ice cream in Toronto! Also try the beef tataki, koyoi salad, and grilled beef tongue on hot plate. - Charles Law
Its all very good! Omakase is exceptional. i like the sushi bar! - Donald Sheppard
They always have a selection of indie films. I would say, go here if you’re more of a movie buff. The theatres are smaller and cozier than most. Which fits with their film selections. - Cara Lau
