View is in the back, no need to pay admission... although I've heard the house is worth it. ❤️
The view of Portland is amazing! You don't even need to go inside the mansion, just explore the beautiful grounds around it!
What a view . It's worth it just for the view . 11 bucks gets you the walk through. No flash cameras allowed, although you wouldn't need/want to. Cool piece of history
Underrated site by most visitors. Most beautiful home of Edwardian period I have seen. Beautiful views of downtown Portland, Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens and maybe even Mt. Rainier. Rooms are charming
The best scenic view point for the Portland skyline ! You have to pay to tour the house, but it’s free if you just want to go to the view point out back.
Built in 1914, this French Renaissance–style estate is open for tours and popular with bird-watchers. Combine your visit with a hike on the Lower Macleay Park Trail , past evergreens and Balch Creek.
Great view of Portland from the mansion. I got there too late for the tour . Tour closes at 4pm and outside area closes at 5pm.
Ten bucks to get inside the mansion but just go to the backyard to catch the view of downtown Portland.
Skip the $9 your of the inside, the real beauty is the view from outside. Bring a picnic and spread out a blanket on the lawn
The signage is quite good, no need for the standard tour . Definitely something to do on a clear day - the views are v impressive.
A beautiful century-old mansion atop the West Hills of Portland. Even if you don't do the tour , it has the best view of the city , hands down: http://pittockmansion.org
Amazing view of Portland ! Great sunrise spot.
Serif views ! The mansion itself is pretty fancy for something that is old. Surprising to see that a lot of things are recently added and not from the time the mansion was built.
Free to park and walk around the mansion, otherwise it's $10 to enter the mansion and receive a guided tour
Cool place to spend a little time - maybe pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the view .
Nice view of Portland but also great to visit the house, very well restored and preserved and absolutely innovative and modern for the time!
Wonderful display of flowers and shrubs. Beautiful architecture on display. Great history lesson for us history lovers.
The tour is worth the price of admission to up your knowledge of Portland history
The best view of Portland . A must-see.
Great views of Portland . Not necessary to pay for a ticket if you don't want to go inside.
The house technically closes at 5pm but the ground stays open until 9pm and is free to enter for the great views .
Taking the tour inside isn't really necessary imo. The view of Portland in the backyard is a must though.
Beautiful views of the city but quite a trek
Worth the visit. Nice view of Portland and the landscape.
Gorgeous! Who knew burnside led to a beautiful area?! Super worth it!
Great view of Portland if the clouds aren't blocking it. Don't even try on a cloudy/rainy day
Great views , good tour ( you will learn different things depending on tour guide).
Hands down the best view of Portland . Worth the climb.
Check out the groundskeeper/gardener's house next to the mansion- I don't believe there is any admission charge for it.
Beautiful view . The hike up wildwood trail is great, and not difficult.
Excellent outlook on the Portland metropolitan!
Great for anyone. Local history. Gorgeous views all around!
Classic Portland history . Great spot to take in the views .
I love this place!!!, it is excellent !!
I went here, its an amazing place. Open as a museum . I hadn't been in 6 or 7 yrs & noticed things I hadn't before. Sean B. -- The entry charge $$ goes to help take care of the house. DUH.
The view is amazing. I wish I could spend my mornings sipping coffee in the garden
An amazing and often overlooked gem above Portland.
Great view of downtown PDX to the East and the Industrial area to the North.
So pretty any time of the year and if you live in Portland it really gives perspective on how close everything is.
Such a gorgeous over look of Portland. Cool to see Mt. Hood also
Possibly the best view in all of Portland. Park near the Zoo and take the easy 3 mile hike (both ways) up the wildwood trail to get the full experience.
Incredible detail.. Awesome library !
The lights and decorations at Christmas are breath taking
I'd go sometime other than Christmas
If you're a pianist , ask to play the 1887 Steinway ????
Amazing view of Portland downtown below the Hood!
Great views (no ticket required)
Very nice view of the city from the gardens
Check out the acoustics in the basement !!! Amazing for singing up the wait staff stairs!
Great place to run/hike!
