If there's a wait, enjoy a cocktail outside (they serve it in a mug!)—this West Village corner is the perfect place to take in the vibe of the neighborhood . Pork chop w/ butter beans was a stand out.
Half chicken is the staple, but you must try the lamb chops (med rare) and corn side. The corn side was the highlight. Soft shell crab is a great starter. Amazing service.
The Bacon Cheeseburger is a big lunch meal. I really liked the generous helping of American cheese . The bacon was salty and tasty as well , and the bun was soft and sweet. Read more
Wow, the bucatini and cauliflower both were insanely delicious, and the sea bass over risotto was next level. The servers were so kind, and the outdoor seating was lovely and cozy .
Bacon Cheeseburger : 8oz of Pat La Freida fresh short rib and brisket , topped with aged cheddar and maple cured bacon . Available for Lunch/Brunch only. Cost: $16. Flavor: 8/10. Value: 8/10.
What a charming and cozy space . Incredible food and service is icing on perfect yet unassuming cake . Had meatball sliders , pork chop and cheesecake . My partner had hanger stake - all perfection. Go!
The Brioche Vanilla French toast (special) was perfect (custardy, great texture, great flavor). Their "Poached Eggs ", which is essentially an eggs Benedict is very well done - had mine with Salmon .
Outstanding service , a delightful setting (the outdoor seating is fantastic now with COVID being on the corner of 2 quiet streets), and all the food is excellent.
Loved the chilaquiles and the white sangria . Want to try their beignet and brioche . This is where they filmed friends!
Absolutely loved it here! Had to make a reservation far in advance and now I know why. Meatball sliders to start, crispy chicken for main, side of eggplant parm ... You'll definitely remember this meal
Came for brunch .. Service great. Pulled pork sandwich was nice and spicy but tiny. Omelette perfectly executed. The sliders were the best item on menu. Brussel sprouts disappointed. Great brunch spot !
The meatball sliders wasn't really good as people say. But the salad , lobster risotto , and soft shell crab spaghettie thumbs up! Very friendly and homy atmosphere. Definitely will go back soon!
Get the arugula salad , bucatini pasta , and pork chop . The service is some of the best i’ve had in the city , with cozy and warm (and safe) outdoor seating .
The restaurant is cozy , unassuming, and quaint, the food is anything but. try the beignettes , whole wheat pancakes , gravy meatball sliders , brussel sprouts homefries , and delicata squash .
The restaurant serves perfectly crafted plates of seafood , seasonal veggies , and memorable cuts of meat to residents who will talk your ear off about the elegant and delicious dishes if you let them.
Worth every penny. Lamb chops and sliders were amazing, beignets were not very good. Regarding getting a table, went in around 6 asked for a table later, told to come back around 730.
NY. Charming and warmly lit, The Little Owl offers a romantic and inviting atmosphere with food that will keep you coming back for more. Their gravy meatball sliders helped put them on the map.
Quaint atmosphere , good service , amazing food -- there's lots to love about this place. Those meatball sliders everyone talks about definitely live up to the hype.
Really a gem of NY.... Don't I sound cliche? Music is amazing. loft seating is supposedly illegal but I love it. Food great, and I'm rarely impressed by food
don't really get the hype of the food here but the atmosphere is undeniably cute . grab a glass of wine and sit on the raised bench inside while you wait, because you. will. wait.
A cozy West Village restaurant where sliders are good but the Pat La Freida cheeseburger is even better.
Outstanding burger , poached eggs , fries and corn . Terrifically attentive service and surprisingly affordable with a great interior vibe and neighborhood .
Mid 2.2: My favourite neighbourhood restaurant in the West Village . There are only 10 tables in the restaurant . It's on a beautiful tree lined street and the food, which is Mediterranean influenced. Read more
Yes, it’s cozy and the food is delicious. But is it worth paying about 30% more of what you’d usually pay for lunch only because it’s located inside the “Friends building”? Probably not
A perfect place to catch up, tell stories, or get to know someone. Sliders are fantastic as is every main (honestly). This is the place to linger over wine and candlelight .
Best burger in NYC. They replaced the excellent bun last year, which is a shame, but it's still the reigning champ.
The food is excellent. The service outstanding. The sub-sub basement private dining room is one of the best hidden gems in the city .
This place has truly stood the test of time; take someone special here. The Pork Chop deserves every ounce of hype that it gets - it's been perfect each of the many times I've eaten it.
Cozy atmosphere and views through large windows . For vegetarians , eggplant parm and spicy green beans are the way to go.
An evening of charm on a dreamlike West Village corner. Owner/chef Joey Campanaro 's meatball sliders are legendary. Try it for a date: there's a reason regulars call it "the closer." [Eater 38 Member] Read more
Just do it! Best pork chop I've ever had. The best first date (or any date!) spot in NYC. Intimate and amazing food.
Always one of my favorites - so cozy and cute . Pork chop is great here, as are most of the veggie sides. Beignettes are the highlight though
Food and service were excellent. The sub-sub basement private dining room is one of the best hidden little gems in the city .
Very nice! delicious food, this is the outside view of the apartments for the sitcom Friends.
Brunch and Friends-lovers will queue up at this West Village eatery . Space is limited, so come for dinner and a chance to try the pork chop and roast chicken .
Poached eggs were great during brunch . This is in the ground floor of the Friends Apt so beware of stray tourists photographing you while you’re eating.
Loved everything about Little Owl. Great eggplant parmesan . Incredible cherry bread pudding . And wonderful staff !
Located on one of the city 's most beautiful West Village corners, make sure to get the meatball sliders if coming for dinner , and the pancakes if indulging in brunch !
This tiny spot has a neighborhood vibe , with original American fare by Joey Campanaro . A month in advance, call for a cozy table near those big windows and pretend the two of you live nearby.
Make reservations !! Meatball Sliders…that’s all we need to say. The Goat Cheese Gnocchi are excellent and we love the Beignets !
Go here for brunch ! If you're wondering why people keep photographing the restaurant 's building, it's because this was the apartment building from the TV show "Friends".
Intimate, romantic ambience best enjoyed over a glass of wine or two with a date. Meatball sliders are a must!
Keep it plain and simple by ordering an incredibly bulky burger with softened cheese running down the side of the meat. The goodness is placed inside a large bun to capture all the juices at once.
Fantastic- ambience is fabulous , food is superb ! Book in advance so worth it - amazing ! Service brilliant !
Cozy place to have lunch . Excellent food and great intimate environment. Great for dates
This adorable, quintessential West Village restaurant is great for both brunch and dinner . The meatball sliders are my go-to.
Delicious! I'll be back always I go to NY. Reservation is required with some days in advance
My all time favorite place. Cute as a button, and you'll have to call way in advance to score a table. The seared duck salad , pork chop and chicken are the winners.
Generous size appetizers . Meatball sliders are a must. It was fun to sit on the "perch " when waiting for a table.
Always perfection. The hostess is the most wonderful and the food is divine. Fabulous wine too! NYC gem.
A secret burger place. It's a thing to go here. Come for lunch and ask for their burger. It is NOT on the menu, but they have it and it is EXCELLENT! So nice. - Sacha S
Wonderful spot to enjoy brunch with plenty of sharable plates. You MUST order the tater tots and the pistachio morning bun. - Julie Soscia
New favorite for special nights. Branzino, skate, beet salad, corn off the cob were fantastic. - Angela
A must if you are a Friends fan. - Mercedes Grohl
Cupcakes are delicious; try the one with banana, carrot cake and pineapple. - Sarper Boz
A nice, relaxing lounge to grab a drink. Lines can be long on weekends but it's worth it, especially if you love a classic jazzy atmosphere. - New York Habitat
