Terrace Walk (Carriage Dr N) London Greater London SW11 4NJ United Kingdom
This pagoda should be respected as a sacred place. I hope it will be in the future to give us Buddhist people living in London the real chance to find peace to meditate and pay tribute to Buddha.
The Peace Pagoda situated in Battersea Park gives wonderful views of the River Thames and Chelsea embankment. It is one of eighty peace pagodas to be found worldwide
This Peace Pagoda is one of more than 80 built worldwide to symbolise peace and is the gift of Japanese Buddhists . This one was built in1985, the 40th anniversary of the atomic bombings in Japan.
Take a moment to meditate and relax at the stunning pagoda. Vistas along the Thames are amazing.
Best park in London. Pagoda is directly by the river .
26 July: The Pagoda was built in 1985, after the monks of the Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Order came to London and lived within Battersea Park .
Great place to watch the world (and joggers) go by
One of the best bits of an awesome park - thoroughly recommend strolling through the lakes , seeing the gardens , visiting the Pump House Gallery and, of course, the Peace Pagoda.
A beautiful honour to peace in our time
