Brown’s Island is a six acre waterfront park and venue that can accommodate over 10,000 people and provide a beautiful backdrop for events. Its proximity to downtown businesses make it a great spot to take lunch or get out of the office to go for a walk amongst the sculptures and exhibits.

RE: Richmond Folk Festival . If you like more space and less crowds. Go on Sunday and stay off of Brown's Island. Also, the music from the Dance Pavilion bleeds over onto the MVW stage.
