Housed in a gun foundry built in 1861, the center explores the Civil War through three perspectives : Union , Confederate and African American. Segway tours regularly run through the former ironworks.
On the same grounds as a national park . Museum has several interactive exhibits , but is very reading intensive overall. Worth a visit.
