Authentic , tasty Salvadorean and Mexican food . Tiny restaurant - might be difficult to immediately sit parties of 4 or more. Great place to practice your Spanish. Great beans. No kiddin'.
Amazing, affordable Salvadorean hole-in-the-wall. Papusas are a must and chimichangas are bomb too
Love the tacos (especially soft-shelled beef ), chimichanga , and my friends rave about their pupusas . Fútbol always on TV (yay!). Unlike Col Heights location: service at this one is rather inattentive.
Great quick lunch . The one pupusa and one tamale was more than enough food, and a very reasonable price. Will come again!
Love this place! Authentic and affordable . Kind staff and great pupusas - the revueltas are my favorite.
Tiny place with great food. It’s well worth the wait! I recommend pupusa and tamale combinations.
Excellent Fresh Home Made Food, anything on the menu is fresh and really tasty, they take the time to prepare it. Try the deserts as well .
Small hole in the wall serving authentic food. I really enjoyed their milanesa with the sweet plantains .
It doesn't have the best look but they have the best traditional Salvadorian food in DC. Ask for the pupusas with pork and cheese . :D
Margaritas were very good. Very nice menu with a wide variety of home made dishes. Nicely done very friendly staff
The Salvadorian breakfast w chorizo is amazing. I dream about it.
We recommend: Cheese and black-bean pupusas ; yuca , fried and topped with pork and a vinegary slaw ; carne desilada, a platter of shredded beef , avocado , rice , and beans.
The bean&cheese pupusa is soo delicious!
I usually order cheese and bean pupusas , tamal de pollo , chicken tacos and chicken quesadillas to go...place stays packed.
The burrito is massive, with a decent guacamole and a delicate beans sauce. Just like it should be.
Go here. Get anything and you will be happy.
cheap neighborhood gem . ropa vieja or chimichangas can't go wrong. protect el rinconcito at all costs.
Pork and cheese papusas are awesome and cheap . Worth a trip. Soups , carne asada also great.
Go for the pechuga de pollo a la parilla for a healthy and filling option!
Less than $5 for a taco (with sour cream !), rice and beans, pico de gallo , and lots of lettuce. There are also more elaborate options if that appeals to you.
This place is a hidden gem . Driven by it many times and finally decided to stop in. Smells incredible. The quesadilla is awesome.
Did it really take 45 mins to get take out ? Yes, yes it did and I was angry. And still I consider going back for because the food is good.
Wonderful food in and simple setting. Huge portions ! ???? ????
Tasty generous plates!
The pupusa and tamal combo was great! Also cheap margs
Nachos so good you'll slap your mamacita.
Try the desayuno tipico with pupusas on the side! Great pricing too. And the sops de Res is to die for.
Nicholas Stefanelli, chef of Bibiana, eats here on his nights off. He loves the Sopa de res . Read more
One word: amazing. Cheap , delicious food and cold beer .
Papusas . Legendary. And super cheap .
Love the beef soup :) and the salvadorean salpicon
Pupusa ???????? and horchata . All you need. Ever!
Try the Pollo Ala Crema (via @Foodspotting)
Best quesadilla I've had in forever!
Try the Salvadorian food . Incredible.
Great food, excellent service!
Tiny little place. But delicious food.
Burritos , margaritas and everything else!
Try the Horchata (via @Foodspotting)
Papoeas and tamales are the best
Small and quaint. Good food!
Lengua tacos melt in your mouth ????
I had a terrible experience here. There was a crowd at lunchtime which the restaurant could not accommodate. Service was rude and the food took 45 minutes and the price did not reflect the menu.
Sunday at 2:45 - and it is packed. That is an indication of the quality of food!
Pupusas , a simple bean & cheese does it
The Shrimp Taco Salad
Try sopa de res , brings you back to life. :)
Real good flavored drinks
The Mexican pizza with shredded chicken is $7.50 and rocks your face off. Plenty for two as a light meal.
Try the Jornalero steak well done with extra tortillas .
Order chicken or portobello mushroom soft tacos a la carte for a less heavy and fresh meal. Chips n' Salsa is a must! - Jeremy C
First time trying pupusas and they were awesome! The queso ones ruled especially. - Sarah
Super soft tamales and delicious pork and cheese pupusas. Come here for their $4 margarita happy hours! - Minji Lee
Great location in a back alley surrounded by art studios. Love their coffee, miss their sweetened latte, please bring it back! - Brooke Harding
A surprisingly good selection of groceries for such a tiny & seedy-looking place. Good prices & short lines make it a great alternative to Giant for most items. - - Bossi
A decent neighborhood liquor store with good selection of beer and wine. - Gabriel M.
