Chinatown Gate is a monument Chinatown - Leather District Boston located in United States.
Surface Rd (at Beach St) Boston , MA 02111 United States
Great place for pics. Also,if you're brave enough to walk over to the mahjong tables, you'll catch a shitload of side bets taking place &most likely, if you're not Asian, a couple of suspicious looks.
To the right of the gates is a park with a rock garden and running water. Great place to mellow out and escape the busy Chinatown streets. Plenty of seating so I lunch here in good weather.
Find a spot to hang out for a while, many great restaurants serving bubble tea , ramen , and dim sum .

Go to Bao Bao Bakery on Harrison for awesome cakes & bubble tea . Also Bubor Cha Cha for made to order dim sum--it's served til closing!!
Good food and good walk.
Smaller than NYC's Chinatown obviously, but still a great place to go for some banh mi sandwiches , pho and bubble tea !
Gift from the city of Taipei.
A lively community spot.
Great food options
if you stare at the gate facing chinatown, try to guess which lion is the female/male :)
Right near leather district.
Have a local tour guide you thru chinatown with navigation serive.
It is not "likely open." It's a gate that is always open...
Great photo op!
Wrong monica m, NYC 'china town ' blows and is pretty tiny. Boston's kicks the crap outta ny period.
A wise man once said, "He who controls the gate, controls the city "
Water adds a calming effect, not a footbath however...
Pesky birds!
Try the eggplant parmesan .

Climb the monument. It can be a bit of a workout, but just take your time and stop when you have to. It's a great experience and the views from the top are awesome. - Al S
Really nice park to visit although quite small in size. It's haunted as well so you might see some friendly spirits! - Hayley Cooper
Tried pork intestine (tender/chewy) and jellyfish (chilled, strong snap on biting through) for the first time. Normal menu items are all great, extremely fast service - Peter Salem
