Their $4 sampler consists 1 pc each of: brinjal, lady's finger, plain tofu , fried tofu , fried tau-kee (soy wafer ?), fishball, fried wantan, & a bed of kangkong (water spinach ). Splashed with sauce
Show up, tell them how many people & how many bowls of rice you want to eat, and you're all set!
Family prefers here over the more famous one along the same stretch. Love the fried tau kee here, goes really well with the gravy . We usually also order a plate of duck meat to complete our meal.
Yummy sauce. Not that salty as some said. In today’s prices this is quite a large plate for $6 for one person. Very fresh and generous vegetables . Only 1 dumpling though.
Street parking . If there are no available spots along the side road where this kopitiam operates, turn into Thong Soon Green, get a slot near the park & walk
Fried tau kee (beancurd skin ) is thick, crispy & yummy. I could eat a whole plate of them!
There is a smoking “hut” right next to the restaurant , complete with seats & ashtrays
Dumplings are a tad salty but yummy, skin silky smooth
Loved the crispy beancurd skin with the Yong tau foo .
Saltish for my preference. When asked if they are the same place as 928 YTF, lady boss claimed tt next door is her mother’s shop, and tastes the same. Unfortunately dishonest to bait customers in.
Occupies the corner unit, along a long stretch of shophouses
The rice they serve with the yong tau foo and braised duck is rather dry, so if you prefer soft rice , do take note.
best yong tau foo in Singapore! must try!
More variety than the one next door, but I feel the stall next door is more authentic .
Yong Tau fou is good what else?! But it is not so healthy version since it is fried YTF.
Love the yummy gravy though the choice of Yong Tau is pretty standard.
Sauce seems to he getting saltier each time. Was impressed the first time I tried it then it just didn’t taste as good anymore
At $9 with 2 bowls of rice . Cannot complain
Awesome food here! Worth the try peeps
Pretty salty ytf sauce. Not sure if it is on purpose, so that u must order rice .
Aww... Able to tase Ampang Hakka style YTF. The cuttlefish based gravy is really tempting me to come back!
There is another similar store but this is the one with more customers. If you have time to driver over JB, you will not be ripped off by 500% here. Period.
Tried 2 stalls today, the 1 beside an this. This is alot better! Thumbs up!
Expectation will be better if the name Ampang wasn't put. Very different from the original Ampang Yong Tao Fu in Kuala Lumpur!
Very unique YTF with a lot of veggies . Beware of the neighbouring competitor who will tell you that its the same stall operated by relatives.
Very saltish but I love the gravy .
Double check the bill and make sure not to get ripoff. We ordered every dish small and they came looking like large.Turns out the smallest hotplate toufu is $20. Geez. Dishonest .
the original Hakka Yong Tau Foo ! BEST!
Slightly too salty for my taste. But decent Yong tau foo .
Ampang yong tau foo used to be good here :(
The Yong taught Fu is awesome.. but the waitresses from China are bloody rude..
During peak hours, it seems that we have to park behind the stall, ie outside those private properties
I've been eating at this shop since 1980s. Peak hour is horrible busy and I park like 2 blocks away usually. Supper food super prices super place.
The food here is great ! :D
Try e dumpling soup too, it's nice...
This is the real thing....there r many fakes nearby..
Nice but gravy a bit salty for my likinh
China aunt all r workers, can feedbk 2uncle whom mostly r owners
So farrrrrr
The kway chay not nice!
Food variety so lil. Bowls are dirty . Food appearance is so not presentable. Come here for the first and last time.
Yummy!!! So nice the sauce!!
Deep fried paradise. Heh.
YTF is nice but chicken no good.
Just normal YTF , not even same taste with KL ampang YTF . Just Normal.
Ask stupid qns too
Nothing spectacular.
It used to be nice few years back buy I'm not so sure about now.
Product Of China!
The food is quite average, but the service is fuck-ed up!! Stupid POC
good about Ah Chiang now is they still serves salmon sashimi, porridge standard ???? - Grace
Everything! Especially liked the soft hor fan, $10 meat platter, wanton soup and flower tea drink. Delicious food and value for money. Long queues at peak hours. - Elizabeth Koh
fishhead not over e top spicy. generous amt of ingredients. Thumbs up $23. Love e tender fried chicken $8 - lynnder
Yoghurt Place on e 2nd floor has awesome flavoured yoghurt! Best flavour: blueberry yoghurt. Daebak! - Zakiah Hafiz
There's a cosy Swensens restaurant hidden at a corner of this neighbourhood mall at #03-23. Convenient for me to collect the pre-ordered ice cream birthday cake ;-) - Jess Thia
Had pure pork horfun. Tastes great! Good wok hey! And loved the sunshine egg on the fried rice! Perfect! - Javier Yong-En Li
