This is by far the most underwhelming museum in NYC. If you are looking for an expensive indoor playground , try the Children's Museum of Manhattan. A lot more exhibits and a much friendlier staff .
Unique museum that uses math in many cool exhibits . Don't spend all your time exploring just the upstairs; there are some really cool things downstairs too.
Enjoyed idea of interactive experience, definitely visually and mind stimulating process. Not everything that is on displayed is available over the counter. Staff is pleasant and positive.
Take advantage of the ASTC Travel Passport program to gain free admission for two adults and up to four children under the age of 18 in the same family residing in the same household.
It's fun, but there are many thing that are not working, and it is a pretty brand new museum . Pay attention to the guides those guys seem to enjoy what they do.
Visitors can ride on trikes with square wheels ; take a boat ride over funky shapes; play with robots, and make their own tessellation tiles. Read more
Check out String Product! Lots of exhibits for both children and adults.
Really shows the fun side of mathematics! Lots of kids, there was a birthday party at the time, so it’s definitely kid friendly but liked it as an adult as well .
My son absolutely loved it and the team working here has a lot of patience and kindness for the kids. Great afternoon.
terrific small museum which would challenge both kids and adults. Entrance price is somewhat steep but guarantee you will really enjoy it.
Fun exhibits but half of them are usually broken.
Visit the Museum of Math for more than an algebra class . Exhibits are geared towards younger kids but are fun for all ages.
I don't agree with the negative comments. My 3 kids were very engaged by the exhibits and ended up asking me a lot of questions about math. Definitely stimulated their minds.
Make sure to bring plenty of hand sanitizer for you & your group! They should install some dispensers IMO!
Great for math lovers but a lot of exhibits weren't working. I wouldn't call it a museum as much as two floors of interaction . There was no history there
Take a ride on the square wheeled tricycle and test your abilities at the enigma cafe .
Despite what some posts say, there is real math at MoMath. It's just more in the form of geometric puzzles...which reflects the creators bias towards algebraic geometry.
Such a museum should exist in every city , really nice for small and not so small kids ;)
Very cool exhibits and decent explanations from the museum staff . However, go early on a school day to avoid longer lines of screaming kids.
I'm a math teacher :) and Fun museum ! Ask questions and enjoy the experiences! Math is fun!
Fun place to explore mathematics in an interactive manner.
The downstairs is the best part and don't forget to bring your patience. Some of the puzzles are hard!!
Something for all ages and inspires interest in math! Check out the games at the bookshop
Downstairs area gets busy, arrive just after opening and it's a lot less hectic.
Nice to hang and think a lot, great for engineers and mathematicians
Great place for kids to have hands on math fun!
Open the left door. Make a subtle stand for tau.
Penrose tiles!
Fun museum ! Ask questions and enjoy the experiences! Math is fun!
Some of the free Math Encounters presentations are interesting. Like "Movie Magic: Hollywoods Visual Effects"
This place is a total gem! All the exhibits turn into rides or activities!!
Math? Museum ? This place should be called the STEM Playroom!
Free admission for Bloomberg employees and up to 3 guests.
Good for families and school groups.
Amazing!!! great for all ages
Good for kids , less so for adults.
Get there late? Sit and access the WiFi .
This is a dream. Even people who don't like math like this place.

Mia had a great time. We are now members.
Family friendly math fun!
Fun, interactive
no detail was left untouched by Platonic forms
Great place to take kids.
Was fun but probably not worth the entry. I was expecting to learn more but didn't.
It was a slightly disappointing experience. Many installations weren't working and several were not operating bc museum admin was short . For the price, it needs some work. Great idea, poor execution.
Noble idea, mediocre execution. Space is too small. Too many exhibits not working yet. Disorganized, w/no eduqcational narrative. Poorly written kiosks. It just opened, so I'd hope it gets better.
Most things here are broken.
More of a kids playground than a museum
The Journey to the Stars Exhibit is a wonderful and worth the extra money. My 8 and 9 year old sons loved it! The entire museum is incredible. The dinosaur exhibit was a favorite. - Melissa Cameron
Surprisingly great! The chandelier is fascinating. Exhibitions are carefully curated. It's much less crowded so quite enjoyable. Guided tours are at 3pm - WEI WEI
Fun interactive children's museum with lots of great spaces for kids to explore. Dora floor, fire engine, sand tables, painting on the white board and splash in the summer are our highlights. - Amanda Williams
Beautiful park, plenty of seating, really nice in the evenings. Shake shack always has a line, but it's worth the wait - Justin McKissick
This is one of my all-time favorite places. Make sure you buy produce in the market- the prices are very reasonable and the quality is fantastic! - Julia Birnbach
Delicious burgers, nice atmosphere cause it is located in the park. Ideal choice during summer. - p k
