Elevador de Santa Justa is a scenic lookout São Nicolau Lisbon located in Portugal.
Lg. do Carmo / R. do Ouro 1100 Lisbon Portugal
Don't wait in the long line ! Go up the pedestrian stairs and go up the last staircase after the lift. It will save you money and a lot of time! Gorgeous views - a must-see in Lisbon!
A must-see! Expect looong lines , but just go up by foot using the street on the act then see the amazing top floor and/or get the elevator down (small lines ????)
Ignore the queue to go up. Enter from the top ( next to museu do carmo). It's free and you can take the lift down with your day or monthly ticket. Great views .
Strange sight,It looks like a small elevator ,with low altitude, but when you reach the top of it,you´ll think that magic has hapened, because you will see one of the moust spetacular Lisbon views .....
Santa Justa Lift was designed by Raul Mesnier de Ponsard, an engineer born in Porto, was an apprentice of Gustave Eiffel . Dont take it, rip off. You can access free way to the top by Largo do Carmo
Amazing views ! Best time-near sunset . Queue is very long, ride up is quick, but worth it. You can ride the lift using your day travel card, but to climb to the top is €1.50 extra. Good experience.
The lookout provides a beautiful panorama of Lisbon including castle of St. Jorge. Worth visiting. If you have a viva viagem pass, use it in the elevator , and entrance to the lookout costs 1.50 euros.
great view but you should skip the line and the greater part of the price: climb the stairs “next street” (enter after the shoe store @ R. do carmo) and cross the bridge to the exit of the elevador
Spectacular view of Lisbon from the top viewing platform !! Ignore the lines(waste of money & time)just go up on foot!
For all those wondering if waiting in long line and paying for the ticket is worth it- absolutely! Even with many splendid miradouros in the city , this experience beats them all. My best Lisbon moment
DON'T use the elevator . You can go up on foot, have a great view and pay only €1.5 to go to the highest point. The best view of the city .
Endure the queue and definitely go all the way up, the views are worth it. On a sunny day the best light is near twilight
Amazing views of the city centre. There’s a better way to access it than queuing at the bottom of it but it’s a secret ^^
There's no point to wait in the long queue when you can just walk up the stairs and up the hill and see a nice view as well !
Beautiful viewpoint of the city of 7 hills . Great terrace behind the convent to hang out at as well .
Don't queue at the bottom just walk up the back route! It's an extra €1.50 to go to the top but you get a nice view . If you feel the need to go in the lift then go down not up, there'll be no queue!
Easier to take it from the top and come down. No lines for that. Just go through the exit by the restaurant . It'll save you the 30 minutes wait.
Go early! Waited in Line for 90 min.. (from 11am) Also remember that the tickets are issued by Carries, (Lisbon public traffic) so it is free if you already have the 24 ticket.
Built in 1902 by a pupil of Gustave Eiffel , this was one of three elevators to facilitate commercial deliveries in the hilly city . Admire the design and the views it offers of Baixa and Rossio.
Nice view . But you cant find maybe even better for free. 5,15e per person. But with daily metro pass you can get for free I think.
The best view to historic center
do the math: a single ride up costs €5. a metro day pass costs €6.10 & gets you to and from the attraction . plus you can ride it as many times as you like! don't bother paying €3 for the view point
The Santa Justa Lift (or Carmo Lift) is another urban lift attraction in Lisbon. Made of cat iron, this connects Baixa and Bairro Alto. You can get amazing views of the Tagus River from here.
So inspiring to see the price of art . Don’t miss the brands playing at night time during weekends.
Operates in every 15 or 30 minutes for 16 people. No need to spend your time at a pointless line (queue). Go explore Lizbon more.
Great views of Lisbon from the top. Skip the ticket line and walk up the stairs to get to the top.
Just amazing view at night time as we going again for the day time to get a good view ????????????????
I would prefer to take Elevator at the Almada after the Ponto Fina Restaurant which is €1 per person for up and down. It’s amazing.
Amazing view even if you do not pay to go up!
Walk to the top and ride it down. Far less queues than down below...
Awesome ! Went there evening and day time! Both has fab view where you can't missed it!
Start at the top for views rather than wait in line to ride the elevator .
Incredible scenic views . Go early. Usually there's a lot of people at the end of the day.
we chose to don't spend money to visit!!! there are a lot OF panoramic view to see the skyline of the city
Go at night when the lights are on. Grand view of St George Castle .
If there’s a line you can walk up the stairs and get a ticket to the viewing platform at the top
Nice view over Lisbon. A bit expensive at 5 euros for one trip though. But still something that has to be done!
Beware of the tourist scammers while standing in line here! But the elevator ride was worth it. Amazing scene.
The queue was VERY long and Lisbon has MANY free view points with no queues.
Use it if you want to see the views and stuff up there. Otherwise, just use the streets because the lines can get long!
Designed by Gustave Eiffel , 5€. The view from the top is amazing, a Lisbon must.
When the sign says it opens at 7, don't be fooled. That just means the staff gets out of bed at seven. Try eight o'clock.
Skip it! You can totally walk the top of it for free, just don’t wait for the line and climb the hill .
Adore adore adore. Morning or sunset , the views to old Lisbon are stunning
build by a pupil ob NOBEL a must to take the elevator and to have that view on Lisbon's historical center. take pictures.
outstanding view of the city . you may have the illusion that it is a low height elevator , but it is not!
Amazing views of the city and the Convento do Carmo
To exit, take the stairs down and at the split, go left, not right, to exit.
Nice to go by elevator but walking is nice as well + you see some nice exclusive stores on the way up.
Nice scenic view . Castle view . Sea view . Free with metro ticket.
