Largo do Carmo

Instead of taking the expensive and crowded elevator , just walk up to Largo do Carmo and take the small path next to the church . That way you'll be able to see one of Lisboa main attractions for free!

If you're in Lisbon you have to come here, grab a beer and listen to local musicians .

The soldiers are kind of pleasantly lacklustre. Sort of like the cast from that Carry On Film with the French foreign legion. They seem like nice guys.

Pretty place in front of Convento do Carmo. Sometimes there's live music and you can stop for a drink if you have free time.

Great place to hang out and people watch .

The elevator is 5€ and gives you a superb view . I'm a local and got jaw dropped by it, I think it's worth it.

Palco de revoluções. Cafés e bares criam um ambiente agradável. Recomendo.
