For the bar staff a smile is but a distant thought. Ales are fine - served at the right temperature but perhaps a tad flat. Loud rock music on the speakers will not be to everyone's taste.
Great service. Awesome ales . Try the bishop's finger.
If they have it, drink the Late Red Autumn Ale from Shepherd Neame Brewery . It's fantastic!

Don't follow anyone into the bogs, there's not room for two!!!
Honest bar staff , refunded me after accidentally over charging me.
Cosy, and nicer than it looks from outside
Watch for the staff trying to rush you out the door after last orders. They should give 20 minutes.
Rubbish. Rude barstaff. Unpleasant. One to avoid.
Great veggie burger! Be warned..it is coupled with onion rings and chips! Yum! - Kim Scalamandre
One of the best little pubs in central London ...with bargain £5 lunch menu to boot! - Andrew
Totally recommend the Wild Mushroom Risoto. Very nice atmosphere, I would definitely come back. - Maria Carolina Sasse
Go for the closer rows in stalls, because it can get claustrophobic with more remote options - Fresh
