Easily my favourite theatre in London. Thought-provoking shows presented in an intimate setting . Like all old theatres , the stalls can be close together and seriously sloped.

Sue Man

Cosy little theatre , went to watch Mojo , avoid booking Dress Circle A21, B21, C21, D21 or E21 as you would not able to see the far left of the stage.

Fresh

Go for the closer rows in stalls , because it can get claustrophobic with more remote options

Enzo Martinelli

Smallish theatre with good thought-provoking productions put on stage

David Kelham

They call the Upper Circle the Royal Circle here. Be careful when booking seats, lots of other London call the first level circle their Royal Circle . eg London Palladium.

özge

Mini theatre . Tiny seats. Limited view from the balcony . Today was the last show of the "Spamalot",which was a privilage to see. Great cast!

Angie Chua

One of the most comfortable theatres I've been with sufficient legroom .

Shmulik

Lovely, intimate theatre but if you go invest in the more expensive seats. The circle is crammed and can be uncomfortable

Nancy Cadet

Cute theatre ! Nice character

Richard Mawbey

Merrily We Roll Along ends it season on 27th July 2013...Rush to this wonderful 5 star production!

James Gooch

Lovely theatre but small seats. Go for the stalls if you can!

Marta Grané

Chimerica is a great play! The theater is very bad designed, most of the seats have a terrible view . I would suggest to buy tickets on the lower floor only.

Ramona D.

Old theatre with uncomfortable seats and small bar areas, so it feels always very crowded . Ushers seem to forget that you are a paying customer and can be borderline rude.

Yalin Solmaz

Extremely uncomfortable seats so come here when the play is really worth it. :)

Jay

A fantastic double bill of South Downs and The Browning Version. Both shows 5 stars!!

Victoria Zakova

The most thought provoking play in town ! Real treat!

Narnia Fans

Narnia actor Ben Barnes (Caspian) stared in Birdsong at this theater . He attended the world premiere of Voyage of the Dawn Treader, but missed seeing the queen because he left to perform in Birdsong. Read more

Seeing ALittle Life

Carrie W

Restricted view in stalls .

Roberto

Nice and cosy.

Damien Saunders

Try to get seats in the stalls . The view is better

Andrew Sawkins

Chimerica - absolutely brilliant.

Giacomo Mason

Not the worst in West End for legroom !

Cathy O'Donnell

Worst seats of any theatre in the West End, cramped & minimal legroom .

Greg Dali

For Children's hour , old place, bad stalls

Nice theatre on The Strand. Recently refurbished and pleasantly small. Saw The Ladykillers here last night and enjoyed very much. No air-con, but there is 'air cooling,' which is probably better. - Scott Bridges
